Keir Starmer's time is up

Not sure what you're trying to imply here - some sort of shadowy Jewish conspiracy?

When surely the basics are that Israel is a longstanding military ally of the US, is a useful regional balance to the likes of Iran, etc. Plus the significant Jewish vote in the US. On the right, the fundamentalists are also pro-Israel for their own loony apocalyptic reasons. It's not that different to how the US and western allies back the Saudis no matter what they do.
It's definitely a Jewish conspiracy according to Dwyer, promoting antisemitism being the only reason he is here.

btw, the Jewish vote in the US is now probably smaller than the Arab vote, so I'm not are thats a major factor. Bang on with your other points tho.

It's very different.

What the USA needs from the middle east is oil. That explains why they back the Saudis. But Israel has no oil. Furthermore, by allying itself with Israel, the USA infuriates and alienates the people who do have the oil. So afaics the USA gets absolutely nothing, or rather minus nothing, from the alliance. So why does the alliance exist?

That is fascinating if correct, have you got a source ( for the second sentence)

No he hasn't got a source cos he's talking bollocks. In reality the Arab vote is less than half the size of the Jewish vote. But they're still both very small. So voting alone doesn't explain the USA's pro-Israel policies.

What explains it is a long history of economic and military ties, particularly cemented in the cold war, surely? The fact that Israel has been a useful ally to the US and a counterweight in the region to Iran and others.

But if the USA sided with the Arabs they wouldn't need a useful ally in the region, or a counterweight to Iran. The Islamic world's hostility to the USA is entirely due to its alliance with Israel. That's a heavy price to pay, and I'd like to know why we're paying it.

3.7m arab american voters Arab American backing for Biden sinks over ‘rock-solid’ Israel support
and about 3.5m jews (there may be more, but it seems to be quite close between arabs and jews) https://ajpp.brandeis.edu/documents/2020/nationalprofileofthejewishelectoratein2020.pdf
3.5m is at the lower end of the estimates, but is between there and 7 million, whilst there seems to be wide agreement on the 3.7ish for the number of Arabic voters. Even if there are 7million Jewish voters, the imbalance isn't really enough to make the whole state be so pro-Israel.

for my money it's because of the rapturites. and there are some very rich rapturites.

It would do no good. Everyone knows that American public opinion, like British public opinion, is far more favorable to the Palestinians than their governments are. Whatever the reasons for the US/uk's alliance with Israel, public opinion isn't among them.

no, write to your congressional representative to ask why the united states pays the heavy price you're on about.

Antisemitism aside, the only reason he has put in appearance on this thread about a UK politician and made it about the US and Israel is because he's shat all over related threads in the world politics forum and been banned off them, so he's all out of options.

Good point. We really should not rise to the twat's bollocks and just ignore it.

This is like Ern's comeback, then?

Nah, they're poor rednecks. Hardly the sort of people who determine a mighty nation's foreign policy. Try again.
i don't think someone like you who hasn't a scooby how many arab americans there are has anything to offer this or indeed any other discussion. plus you're full of shit on this point as well eg As Israel increasingly relies on US evangelicals for support, younger ones are walking away: What polls show | Brookings Progressives Can’t Ignore Role of Christian Zionism in Colonization of Palestine Christian Zionists are Israel’s political foot soldiers in US | Mark Habeeb | AW https://www.washingtonpost.com/outl...-christian-zionism-could-warp-foreign-policy/

Why tackle landlordism and build more affordable homes when you can just 'rip up red tape'?

So, under Starmer, we would have more of the "human warehouses" that we have had under the Conservatives, when office blocks were converted to flats without having to receive planning permission?
