Keir Starmer's time is up

This article from The Times isn't solely about Starmer; it's a review of what faces Starmer, Badenoch, and, to a lesser extent, Farage in 2025. It's a bit gossipy, in my opinion, very Westminster focused, and lacks any economic analysis. However, it does have some insights.

I was particularly taken with the idea that 'Red' Ed is seen as a threat waiting in the corners.

I read that as not so much that Red Ed is a threat than not wanting the green policies to be to successfully delivered. As this potential vote loser at next election. ( Not my view but the Labour insider quoted)The problem with Red Ed is that he's to good at getting on with his job.

Turns out the lyrics on that awful AI advert are offensive

The lyrics to Montagem Coral urge a “naughty young girl” to “sit” on the singer’s “pot-crazy dick” and ends with repetition of the line: “Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy.”

“Perfect combination is sex, beer and marijuana,” sings DJ Holanda, whose real name is Lucas Holanda. “The young girls are addicted.”

A Labour spokesperson said: “This post is an adaptation of a viral social media trend and contains a mix of two music tracks. We acknowledge the translation of the lyrics is completely inappropriate. We apologise and the video has now been deleted.”
I don’t know much about social media and even less about TikTok but I don’t see why every organisation feels the need to be cool by having their own spin on the viral trends, does anyone think “wow, Labour are so cool” from this

surely they should be focussing on the less ephemeral business of implementing their manifesto

How the hell did nobody check the translation of the lyrics?! This is such basic stuff.
