Keepingthefaith.org.uk - Quick! While you can!

It's back

They've come back from the grave.

Last week there was an attempt by a few MPs to remove Tony Blair from office. It failed.

But we wanted to give Labour members and supporters their chance to have a voice in the debate. The future of the Labour Party, the future of the country, is just too important to be left to a few MPs.

Within a few days, thousands of ordinary party members and supporters had signed our petition calling on Tony Blair to be allowed to continue to serve in office, as he was elected to do in May 2005.

Tony Blair has now confirmed that he intends to stand down sometime next year, at a time of his own choosing.

Over the coming months, we hope to develop KeepingTheFaith.org.uk into an online community for progressive Labour Party members. If you would like to join us, please drop us a line.

I've emboldened the word "progressive" as it seems rather out of place here.

If you signed our petition and your name isn’t listed above, but you would really like it added, drop us a line. We just took a random selection.

Ah ha ha ha ha ha!

people who've blogged about it -
Ridiculous simpering twat site

http://tailrank.com/posts/562949953927037/Galaxy_of_saboteurs_trashes_'Save_the_Blair'_petition

just found this
Why dosen't somebody set up a "GO NOW" website (I can't do it I don't know how) and get people to sign it setting out all Blair's non-achievements? It might help to tip him over the edge.

(why the fuck am I still awake/online at nearly half past two in the morning?)

Honestly, keepingthefaith looks so lame now it's an embarrasment rather than an asset to Blair. I'm sure some ten year olds could do a better job.

There's even a glaring typo on the front page ffs :D

The original petition, minus some of the hot-linked images, is archived here: We've not lost faith

It's still funny, and certainly worth scrolling down to the last message - 'All your bases belongs to us!!", because the image with that fucking cracks me up for some reason. :D

Yes. :D

All appeared to go smoothly. Nearly a pageful of respectable-looking names appeared. Then at 9:27 am: "Stuart Bruce; Jonathan McShane; Gordon Brown; Idi Amin; Osama bin Laden; Abu Hamza..."

How do we know the time? Because that's when a message appeared on the bulletin boards at www.urban75.com* - the naughty corner of British politics - "Keepingthefaith.org.uk - Quick! While you can! - I've already added Gordon Brown..." By page four the denizens were holding an impromptu conversation - "Ming the Merciless; Ming the merciless (classic); Milliband rocks; Sir Ian Blair; Lorna, will you marry me?; Yes darling; Karen, I still love you too; You two timing cunt".

At 11:10 - after a further six pages of textual intercourse - the message went out - "It takes HTML!" And indeed the "petition" had been set up so users could enter anything at all into the "name" field. So they did, adding another seven pages of photos, particoloured curses and scrolling marquees. The site stuttered to a halt around 13:30. But for fans of digital graffiti it's all archived at We've not lost faith.

Galaxy of saboteurs trashes 'Save the Blair' petition
