Italy vs Wales, Sun 20th June 2021, ko 5pm

Just goes to show the importance of friendlies. A month ago we had a player sent off against the world champions and had to play much of the game with 10 men. We clearly learnt from that and didn’t concede when a man down.

Thought the Italian fouling early doors was top notch, they were on top anyway but weren't afraid of taking the man down in non-threatening areas in innocuous enough fashion which helped delay Wales getting going. Maybe a bit too cavalier later with it though.

Brilliant, Wales. Nervy second half, particularly after the sending-off, but stood their ground and really deserve to be through. Really enjoying Wales in this tournament- they've been ace.
I’m Welsh so of course I love them, but it’s amazing to feel the love from people who aren’t!

One thing that struck me today was what an incredibly well spoken articulate and intelligent pundit Rob Earnshaw is. I hope he gets used a lot more, not just for Wales games.
