Is there anyone 30+ and living with parents in London area?

Maybe it is just me - but could the original post be re-written as:

I'm a lazy hack, recovering-alcoholic and occasional cocaine using journalist or a recent journalism graduate who missed the class on media ethics and I'm trying to sell a topical story...

The OP is pretty clumsily written for a journalist-type. Or perhaps that is done deliberately and is really a cunning disguise. Ooh, the mystery. :D

Actually, it IS a mystery. I genuinely cannot imagine anyone >=30 having this attitude. It doesn't even sound real. It somehow sounds more like a teenager, and quite like a teenager who hasn't even tried moving out of the parental home.

Yes, I'm sure one can save money by remaining at home, but wouldn't it drive anyone mad very quickly? The "being in warm and comfort" is not always preferable to your own rented bedsit/flatshare, no matter how scruffy and badly-equipped the latter might be.

Also it's nice having home food cooked although i do cook myself too and do not lounge around the home all the time. It is great knowing you can go out on the weekend and then feeling hungover the following day knowing you are in warm and comfort rather than rented accommodation where you are scraping by just to get food let alone heat.

I think this ^ is the great bit :D

But you can't leave the used-up shells of partners lying around, parents are always asking you to clean up, it's so unfair. And while you might try to get a nice "crushed-glass" effect on the floor by crushing old syringes under your feet, they always hoover them away, so the effort is wasted. Not to mention that there's no way you'll get enough ice to ace your ice-sculpting classes when they have heating to put on in the winter, or ever get that "starved-artist" look going when they force feed you sandwiches full of roast gravy while you sleep. It's not all good, you know.

I'm over Fifty and living with my parents. I will have to get that Exorcist back in!
N'ah I'm making that up as well, I'm over 55.:)

I'm either a) a loafing sponger living off my folks, b) a thirtysomething trapped by the iniquities of housing and economic poverty, or c) none of these two things. I hope this helps.

Oh, and :hmm:

HirenA don't you have people that you are supposed to pay for this? Or are you actually being paid for these posts? lol
