Is Elon Musk the greatest visionary or the greatest snake oil salesman of our age?

Bannon is not in the least bit keen on Musk and to be fair Musk does seem to be losing it here.

For those wondering what H1B is:

It is being argued by the likes of Laura Loomer that the reason Musk is so exercised about this issue is that if these visas are withdrawn it will actually cut off a supply of skilled workers who he can pay less. More info here:

I know my pencils and don't need telling!

"Elon swings for Donnie, misses and falls over! He's struggling to get up, but Donnie can't take advantage because he got winded walking to the ring. My God what's this? It's Peter Thiel with the metal chair! He's gonna hit Donnie with it! Wait ... no he's having a cocaine-induced heart attack. Oh but now Nick Fuentes has entered the ring! What's he gonna ... never mind he's cowering in the corner. Donnie is waving his hand at someone in the crowd, yes I think he's motioning for Vance to come help him, but Vance is glancing at his watch as though he's waiting for something ..."

"IT'S THE UNDERTAKER! THANK FUCK! aaand his knee's given out. Well that's it from the inauguration wrestle fans, tune in next time to see Donnie Junior face off against Jared Kushner in the Battle Of The Disappointments."

Looks like the Musk/Trump alliance is already falling apart before inauguration day...

it's all pretty fascinating. This is Vivek Ramasway, the biotech mogul and DOGE partner with the man baby:

"The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over 'native' Americans isn't because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture," Ramaswamy wrote in his December 26 post.

He added that he knew “multiple sets of immigrant parents in the 90s who actively limited how much their kids could watch those TV shows precisely because they promoted mediocrity … and their kids went on to become wildly successful STEM graduates.”

He added: "A culture that venerates Cory from "Boy Meets World," or Zach & Slater over Screech in "Saved by the Bell," or 'Stefan' over Steve Urkel in "Family Matters," will not produce the best engineers."

Ok - you spent years supporting a "nativist", often outright racist, MAGA campaign, that's primary ideological framework is to be an inward America, and you come out with this toe-curlingly patronising and condensending shite (swap the "nationalities" around by the way, imagine it was a white american saying this on a public stage about Indians) and you don't think it will create an almightly tare in the fabric of all the shite you and your alogrithymic populists have been stoking for years? I thought these tech dudes were supposed to be smart? And remember this is not some liberal reversal - it's just wanting the supply of cheap labour to flood into silicon valley, if it was any other industry and their's wasn't affected, I doubt they'd give a shit.

So what will trump do - go with the overwhelming majority of MAGA's who will disagree with Ramaswamy, or go the other way and inrage them all?

This is just the sort of thing that will happen when your whole campaign is based on spectacle, emotional lunacy, hero worship etc and populist momentum. When it actually comes down to action and decisions then the whole thing gets revealled for what it is - a big fake ball of spinning shite.

so apparently trump has come out saying he "likes and supports" the H-1B Visas. Trump sides with tech bosses in Maga fight over immigrant visas

and then you have this:

""If we are going to have a throwdown, let's have it now," prominent Trump supporter Steve Bannon said on his War Room podcast on Friday. He went on to call the Republican claims of support of the H-1B programme a "total scam".

You were really dumb enough to not see that the tech-Oligarchy was willing to go against all it's interests to "train up American people only"? Of course it's a fricken scam. Do you really think they give a shit over the rust belt , etc, instead of fucking brain chips and being able to do tik toks on Mars, and of course and essentially, their bottom lines?

As I say, when the whole thing just becomes a series of images and emotion and podcasts and viral clips, this sort of thing was bound to happen. Idiots.

Yep, it's no surprise which way Trump came down on this - he never has to win an election again so he can stop pretending that he cares what the residents of Shitsville, Ohio think about his policies

are we really taking a guy who says role models should be screech and not zac seriously? Not today.

Exactly, just because neoliberal interests have lined up behind the popular populist for electoral purposes, doesn't mean that their agenda is ditched.

I mean I hate both camps and arguments equally but it’s amusing when the veil suddenly and painfully gets removed. Don’t worry I’m sure it’ll be put in place again. This is the world now.

It'll be no surprise when he comes down the other way too. Never underestimate the incoherence of thought.

aye the culture of being willing to work at 60-70% percent of the renumeration of American workers

so they can apply for the visa in the first place as no one else will be able to take the job on

leopards already getting fat and it not even 2025

It’s all very weird re this alter ego Adrian chap ( this is the fake (?) account who goes on live streams chats with the bowels of the internet who many think is musk, and recently he’s being laying into the nazis live on streams that he just won’t ever stop his flow of cheap labour). Sorry for more grifters but this is a good light look into it:

Another thing though is when you have someone like Bannon, pretty much a nazi but who is far smarter I believe, esp politically, than musk then nothing will get past him or his alt right legions, so musk if you don’t toe their line to the exact tee then you’re in for a long and probably painful war.

To the seventh circle of hell, the lot of ‘em
