Why tho? He's not fash or a daesh supporter or a paedo, hes just someone with stupid right wing views on Greece and the European Union.
I'm not getting drawn into another spat with you. You can heed the warning, or not - it's all in your hands.
Right, so you have nothing to say on the matter in truth. You are making typically thinly veiled passive aggressive threats of - "one day you'll come a cropper young miscreant for your immoral lifestyle but not by me or though I could do so if I wanted to..." - and dressing it up pretentiously as the kindly advice of a wise old hand.
Only idiots would buy such an obvious and deeply unpleasant line.
I would also suggest, although I don't know for sure, that there is quite a large population of people on these boards who, although they may not like much of what I post, think that posting about drugs or one's sex life (given that there are forums that specifically cover both topics) is not necessarily a bad thing and would probably take a dim view of the idea of disclosing posts made anonymously about a person on those subject to that person's employer.
I too would take a dim view of that, as I've already explained. But it only takes one person, and you seem to have managed to deeply antagonise many people here.
My housemate was complaining last night about greece being given too much money, should i ring up his work and tell them about his sex life?
No, I don't think you should. But you could warn him that if he carries out a campaign of trolling, destroying important threads over a number of months, he can't be sure everyone would be so patient. If he reflects on that and stops trolling, so much the better for everyone.
You really don't get it do you?
I'm pretty sure it's a troll and should be treated as such. We've had some pretty elaborate trolls here in this past and this has a tiresome similarity to them again, in fact spookily similar. Ignore.
I can't be arsed any more. The point's been made. Do what you want.
Sorry, but wtf is this?
Fuck right off with this, Athos.
Have a fucking word with yourself.
Yup - its the 'public sector' union, tho it doesnt cover all the public sector (not education or example), but it should still be pretty strong, and there are rumours of other sectors joining in tooSo anyway. Greece. Is that general strike still on for tomorrow, belboid?
It's not a general strike as such, it's a general strike of some public sector workers - or at least those in a three or four unions. The turnout of non-workers, or non public-sectors workers is one to keep an eye on.So anyway. Greece. Is that general strike still on for tomorrow, belboid?
Actually, you're right. Although it was not a 'do x or I'll do y' threat, and although I do think there's a risk that he'll push someone too far one day, I obviously hoped that he'd respond to the warning by altering his behaviour; that has the same practical effect as an implied threat. It was wrong, and totally against the spirit of this place; I shouldn't have done it, and I apologise Diamond. I was fed up by your disruption of great threads, but I should have ignored you, not responded like that. As far as I'm aware, nobody reported the post, but if they did, I'll take whatever the mods dish out. Meantime, I might take a break, anyway; I've got better things to do than get drawn into spats on the internet.
Ta - water under the bridge. No further complaints on this one from me.
They aren't, roles are decided by the President of the Commission. Say Juncker was a democratic appointment, I fucking youTo be clear - do you have an issue with people being chosen as ministers by elected leaders?
He was talking about UK ministerial appointments and attempting to make some comparison with the appointed commissioners. Whatever, it was bollux and pretty piss-poor trolling which, evidently, represents a displacement activity for a bored employee. They aren't, roles are decided by the President of the Commission. how was it 'piss poor'? this bullshit has dominated the last 5 pages of the most important thread on urban atm. it's been effective trolling, cause you keep rising to it.He was talking about UK ministerial appointments and attempting to make some comparison with the appointed commissioners. Feeling pretty firmly admonished.how was it 'piss poor'? this bullshit has dominated the last 5 pages of the most important thread on urban atm. it's been effective trolling, cause you keep rising to it.
The latest agreement between the Syriza government and the creditors shocked many on the Left who have been following events in Greece. It seems to signal the end of a whole political cycle.
In this interview with Jacobin contributing editor Sebastian Budgen, Stathis Kouvelakis, a leading member of the Left Platform in the party covers the latest sequence, to what extent expectations have been confirmed or disproved, and the next steps for the radical wing of the party.
Kouvelakis uses this opportunity to reflect more broadly on the balance sheet of the Left Platform’s strategy, whether things could have been done differently, and what the prospects are for a more general left recomposition.
