france vs south africa

I see the BBC are already gloating about France's performance. They could well be eating their words by tomorrow evening.

Germany, Spain, Italy and England all need to win or be lucky with the maths.

Anyway aren't France sort of like England 'B' these days with the amount of Premiership players they have?;)

They've got fuck all to gloat about,at least France have enjoyed success at international level in the past few years

Thats fucking insane - he has either mixed up Cisse and Gourcuff or has sent Cisse off for falling over.

edit: no, its Gourcuff off, arguably correctly

Anyone who thought that was even a yellow card can surely not have ever played the game.

Yet another match ruined by a mickey mouse referee or a bent one - shades of South Korea v Italy. I suspect that Domenench was implying that this game was fixed.

Bye south Africa and good riddance.

And here is Mr. "Bendtner is the best young striker whose name is Nicholas currently playing for Arsenal", replete with his opinions for us to savour.

Are you really suggesting the ref was bent? Who on earth would waste money on fixing the game against this French team? And if they were intent on doing that, surely they would just extend Domenech's contract rather than go after the ref or the opposition?

Oh, and the sending off of Gourcuff was at least understandable - he did after all deliver a forearm smash to Sibaya's face - even if it has legions of "these people dont understand the game!!!!!!!!!!111one" twats trying defending what Gourcuff did.

Love the tag for this thread. :D

After how they qualified, i was hoping France would do badly. I was hoping they'd play like shit and fail to qualify from the group. I thought, given the quality of the players in their squad, that hoping for THAT was optimistic. But really, Administrators of Karma, you are spoiling us. No, really, this is too much. As delicious as it is, i don't think i can take any more of France's painful humiliation. I'm just too full. Maybe you could put some in a doggy bag and save it for the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign? Thanks, you really are too kind.

He did nothing of the sort.

He headed the ball. Why on earth would he do that when he's heading the ball towards goal?

It was only an understandable red card for those that really haven't a clue. There has not been one endorsement of the red card on TV. There was no foul at all.

You are a complete fool.

For a start, please understand what "understandable" means - whilst the red card was debateable, one should be able to recognize that the ref (who after all had a perfect view of it) could have easily come to the conclusion that what Gourcuff did, even if it wasnt intentional, was clearly dangerous. He ran five to ten yards towards the ball and put his arm out in front of him when he jumped. That arm then connected full on with Sibaya's head and laid him out.

One can only hope of course that an Arsenal player gets taken out in a similar manner during the coming season, so we can all hear your hypocritical whines at the injustice of it all.

Im guessing you probably played a sport other than football.

The challenge on Defoe was arguably worse today - result? not evena foul.

The Frenchman headed the ball, had his eyes on the ball and was up first. Unfortunately, yet another sub-standard referee got it wrong.
