France vs Mexico

To be fair, this panel certainly isn't the worst, but Baker's showing 'em up.

And actually I'm honestly not sure he's drunk, he talks like this on his radio show. There's certainly no slurring or rambling off on tangents. Well, not for Baker, anyway.

I think he's just had a bet on france and is holding out hope. :hmm:

Could we all just keep this thread going and make it a great big Urban circle jerk slagging France?

It would make me very very happy...:D

Great footy today

Today's been the best yet. France losing, Greece winning, Argentina romping home. Danny Baker's predictions. "England are not good enough to lose" priceless:D

I did not see the game been out since the start, but I heard of the 2 Nil victory for the Mexicanos.. Talked to some Mexicans chaps and they’re amazed at the win.. Now I’m home, the game is on 13 mins in and I see the French fucked up that free kick, so I’m guessing they were Shit all game?

ha ha ha ha !

:D

I hope south africa beat them now.
+1

With an offside goal, a dodgy penalty, then Pienaar picking the ball up, throwing it in the net,and the referee saying "yeah that seems fair enough, goal."

¡Ponte la verde!

:D

Thanks - why didn't they do it before the World Cup? I mean my knowledge of football and most team sports is dire but that can't have been good for morale

My theory is that nobody would have taken the job until after the world cup. Whoever was managing the French would have to deal with the fact that the star player (Henry) is past his best and most of the fans don't yet accept it. So either the French had to win the competition, or it would be the managers fault for playing Henry or for not playing Henry.

hahahahhaahhahhahahahahahcheese eating surrender monkeys hahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahhahah

i know someone will have done this already but hahahhahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahhahaahh

Isn't Domenech's contract until after the WC? Prob don't want to pay him to leave. Or, as somebody mentioned earlier, stuck by the coach as he got the team to the finals. Or were hoping he might fluke another final. Who knows, who cares.

edit: don't think Henry has ever really been the star player, mind.

I was going to have a bet on a Uruguay v Mexico draw - odds aren't generous:D

I wouldn't . They don't really get on , just because of the central/south american thing does not mean they would play out a draw , both teams will most likely love to win and knoick the other out of the tournament . I'd put your money ona Uruguay win , the mexican defence hasn't really been tested and Uruguay are probably more capable of scoring . All my world cup predictions have been wrong so far though so you may be better off ignoring this advice :D
