You might think that is true or bullshit. But the fact remains that the British press, always happy to publish saucy gossip even if not remotely proven, has never, ever once to my knowledge published any headlines, let alone the various photographs available on foreign news outlets, that outright suggest William is having an affair. And it's not as if all the Royals are offlimits about affairs or indiscretions; see Fergie, Diana, etc. And yet, you have media outlets in the US or Continental Europe publishing pics of William seemly kissing his mistress in a nightclub, or widespread reports of them being spotted having dinner on Valentine's Day, and there is litereally not a fucking pip in this country. Nothing whatsoever. Even to this day, the mainstream media only dares to mention Rose Hanbury criptically, and without identifying her as even a possible love interest. Hell, I just googled 'william mistress', and as far as I can see, not a single fucking story in the first page of results comes from a UK-based outlet. Not one.

I've speculated and I'm not "ashamed".

There is no inconsistency in not being on "team cancer" and wishing her well on a purely human level, while finding the ham-fisted PR catastrophe absolutely hilarious and revelling in the damage it's been doing to the image of a repulsive institution.

And that is not a criticism of Kate. I think she is a kind, thinking, caring individual...1000 times a better person than any of the family she has married into. And the monarchy will end if she does. Because she is the best thing to happen to the British monarchy since Diana.
Without her...it is dead in the water. Camilla is nothing. Charles is not that well liked. Even William is nothing without Kate. They're all kind of meh...
But Kate and those kids? THEY are the monarchy. Sooner the palace recognises that the sooner they will make sure not to fuck things up again.

When the Royal machine specifically ruled out cancer in January they effectively gave a health update by doing this. They also allowed a photoshopped image designed to be a "we are all fine" message. This was also a positive health update to the public.
So naturally the public sussed something was not rright.Because it was clear the palace was making it up as they went along.
And in that vacuum / echo chamber / absense of the truth... whatever you wish to call it...numbers of theories erupted.

People will always speculate when they realise they are being lied to.

I think posters on this thread were having a bit of fun.. I mean I don't think that this thread would have been the same if we thought she could possibly have cancer. Nobody thought it because we believed the health updates from the palace.

Nobody with a cancer diagnosis can hide it. Not in any family... sadly the treatment makes you obviously very unwell. Your appearance changes... and when she found out she was having chemo is probably when her children also found out.

I'm not going to beat myself up for any post here. There's cancer everywhere. Most people suffer in silence and have much much tougher lives and nobody praises or evaluates their bravery or goodness. They don't get sainthood status for their suffering. They fight on their own. If they are lucky they have someone in their lives who can be with them. They are the quiet untold heroes.

They have Royal correspondents who decide what gets published.
They've fed the press to control the people under monarchy for years.

If you want to blame anyone .. blame the monarchy itself.

Eta. If Kate was ordinary Mrs Bog Standard she would be doing this in private. And her kids would not have to be protected from the media. And nobody would speculate or gossip.
