Far-right response to Southport Outrage And Ongoing Violent Disorder

Posted over on the counter-demos thread, but this seems very worthwhile, people meeting up in the morning of the next TR demo to join a security guards picket before moving on to the counterdemo:

🔥 LET’S DEFEND OUR COMMUNITIES AND KICK THE RACISTS OUT!

After the racist violence we saw across the UK & Ireland in the summer, ‘Tommy Robinson’ is once again bringing thousands of his supporters to London on October 26th.

We are mobilising to oppose them.

‘Tommy Robinson’ (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) uses his huge social media platform to call for mass deportations of immigrants, post racist and anti-muslim content, conspiracy theories and fake news, and is a vocal supporter of the violent zionist regime of Israel and its genocide against the people of Gaza.

In the summer he spread lies about the identity of the attacker in Southport, that sparked the worst racist riots in a century. Racist mobs enacted violent pogroms in communities up and down the UK and Ireland. Hotels housing refugees were burnt, and mobs smashed up and attacked migrant-owned businesses and homes. Many of the participants were chanting the same slogans used by the English Defence League and commonly heard at Tommy Robinson’s last London rally just a few days earlier.

WORKING CLASS COMMUNITY DEFENCE STOPPED THE RACIST RIOTS

When the racist mobs took to the streets and started terrorising our communities, community defence networks formed to mobilise against them.

Tens of thousands took to the streets from Harrow, Walthamstow, Finchley, Hackney, Croydon, Crawley, Bristol, Brighton, Rochdale, Liverpool, Manchester, Belfast, Hull, Birmingham, Sunderland and many more towns and cities. It wasn’t the police, politicians or media that protected our communities, it was us, collectively.

ANTI-FASCISTS & MIGRANT WORKERS UNITE

The far-right accuse migrants of stealing jobs and driving down conditions for British-born workers. The reality is the rich keep getting richer while workers, regardless of where they were born, continue to be exploited. We're joining the United Voices of the World (UVW) mass picket to build the solidarity we need to defeat racism and the systems that create it by setting workers against each other while stealing the wealth we create.

Far-right response to Southport Outrage And Ongoing Violent Disorder

White supremacist, Geraint Boyce, of Pleasant View, Penrhiwfer, has been imprisoned for two years at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court after pleading guilty to publishing threatening material on a Facebook account intending to stir up religious hatred, contrary to Section 29C(1) of the Public Order Act 1986.

Geraint Boyce's contribution to internet discourse included posting a picture of a "Hulk like figure" dressed in a Union Jack t-shirt towering over and chasing men dressed in "Islamic clothing" through the streets of London. He captioned the photo "F*** Islam". He also shared an image of a Union Jack and wrote: "See this flag. It's not Great Pakistan, it's not Great Poland, it's not Great Slovenia, it's not Great India or Great Africa, it's Great Britain now f*** off." Geraint Boyce also shared an image of a mosque, and wrote: "No more mosques... Burn them all down with the b******s inside".

Another post included a picture of a lion with a Union Jack and a child kneeling by it, with the defendant commenting "I am ready for war". A caption to the picture stated: "Time to wake up the lion to save our children's future":

Dad jailed for two years after calling for mosques to be burned down in Facebook posts

If you're ready for war, Geraint, why don't you join the army? Oh, let me guess, too much hard work and discipline?

"The court heard the defendant has not worked for some time because of an accident and suffers with arthritis, anxiety and depression."

He spends his time calling for other humans to be burnt alive inside their place of worship.

According to Patriotic Alternative, the white supremacists who have been imprisoned to date for their violence are "political prisoners":

A far-right group has raised thousands of pounds for the families of prisoners locked up over their roles in the anti-immigration riots that took place across the UK in the summer ...

"Recent political prisoners include a mother of five and full-time carers."

Far-right group raises almost £15,000 for families of people jailed over UK riots

Back in court today, this time Lucy Connolly had decided to plead guilty, the case was transferred from Northampton to Birmingham to avoid any potential appearance of bias given Connolly's husband held a political post in the local area, remanded until 17th Oct.

The judge said she's likely to get 'substantial' jail sentence when she appears in the Crown Court.

I was just looking back on the thread to check when she was arrested, and spotted the above reply, by the time she gets to Crown Court on 17th Oct., she would have already been locked up for almost 10 weeks, so her class privilege doesn't appear to have helped her, which is most pleasing TBH.
Lucy Connolly sentenced to 31 months this afternoon.

Has Yaxley-Lennon set foot on these shores again? He’s going to get his collar felt for similar to this when he does, right?

Supposed to be back over for his demo/show his documentary/ rant event on 26th October ( next Saturday) and then in court 28th. I think he has also got an allegation of not complying with access to his phone that he may or may not be charged with from his previous visit.

He quickly reigned in a lot of his rhetoric after the initial arrests and after Danny Tommy called for a riot . He ended up calling for civil disobedience so his social media activity may not be an issue ?

and now the likes of Tice and Oakeshott are touting him as a political prisoner:

For someone who'd already suffered a heart attack, taking part in a riot and angrily shouting and yelling outside a hotel probably had more to do with speeding up his death than lying around in prison with no alcohol and tobacco and a bland but generally healthy diet.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that he has not been murdered by the state apparatus.

The Torygraph says he took his own life.

Assuming that's true, it is sad - yes, even given his behaviour in the riots - and it's worrying that he was able to do it so easily because it indicates he and other prisoners weren't being cared for to high enough standards.
