FA Cup 2019-20

Typical Chelsea fan - all about the money. Rather than being bitter about losing today, maybe take solace in the fact that your billionaire was able to buy a few trophies in recnt years (until being outspent by other clubs).

It's not like Liverpool or Man Utd and others invested millions then is it, or even bought players to stop rivals buying them (David Fairclough). Money is nothing new in football.

Chelsea just werent invited to the party those days but when you look back we were one of the few clubs to really make a challenge.
Ken Bates and Matt Harding turned the clubs fortunes around thankfully. We used to send our staff around the pitch side with a blanket to catch money on to survive. Imagine doing that these days, and imagine simply being judged on our current situation then you will realise how ridiculous you sound.

cunt off...I am in no way a typical Chelsea fan, and arsenal used to have more than a fair amount of the money but then the playing field evened out...you are typically you though

There's a rather big difference, wouldn't you say, between Arsenal's Liverpool's and utd's historic speding in say the 80s and 90s, and Chelski's and Man Arab's spending over the past 15 years or so?
Namely, the former was affordable through their good financial situation and sound commericla management - the later was entirely the handiwork of a corporate sugar daddy who knows he'll only ever see a fraction of it back.

I'm willing to bet you get to typically few of 'your' team's games.
Having been down south a few times I can assure you the amount of...hassle... is not worth it any more trips, especially these days. A bit like posting here, sometimes. Or sometimes moretimes.

So yup, you're right. Lovin the quotes around 'your' though...speaks volumes.

Speaks volumes how? You're not from there, and you don't go to games, so I do struggle to understand how it's 'your' club in any meaningful way?

Its no different. Utd and Liverpool built on big fan bases and successful sides. Chelsea were never far behind. Theres a documentary somewhere about football hooliganism where a police chief declares that Chelsea were up there with Man U and Liverpool on numbers attending away matches in the good old days. We have always been a massive club in England, it just took Roman and Co to take it to the next level.
Look at Wolves. Very similar to us, good fanbase but in the doldrums. Money people get involved (Fosun) and they're making a mark. Does anyone say anything negative? Nah, are they called Wolvski or Wolevesugal, nah. Hypocrites, all of you. Especially Gooners, tonight.

Massive club, lol. You're average attendance for the first season in the Premier Leage was 18K!

err, except 'finanial doping' as practiced consistently by City and chelsea is off the scale compared to Wolves, and it wa never self-financing (city miht be, one day)

Nope, left markyate (a village nearby) to go to college in London all those years ago, and sadly London is where the work is. used to go and see the regularly in the 70s and 80s though
I went through Markyate today! No doubt we were wt some of the same games.

:D :D :D

To anyone without a bias Chelsea are probably pipped by West Ham at 3rd, into 4th biggest London club. Fanatical fandom is great for football, but logic must out in sensible discussion.
