Does he also think Lewis earned the right to be left space at turn 4 on lap 1? Seems like whenever Lewis doesn’t jump out of the way to avoid a collision, Max lets it happen.Whinger Spice's mantra today: "Max earned the right... Max earned the right... Max earned the right..."
Entitled, much?
Correct.Does he also think Lewis earned the right to be left space at turn 4 on lap 1? Seems like whenever Lewis doesn’t jump out of the way to avoid a collision, Max lets it happen.
The beeb radio commentary had it as "Max would rather have the crash than finish behind Hamilton".Correct.
I think Johnnie Herbert nailed it.
He said that any racing driver would have looked at the diminishing amount of tarmac in front of Max and backed out, and taken to the bumps, then tried to nail Hammy on the exit of the chicane. No-one could reasonably expect Hammy - leading - to "turn right" and drive off the track in order to give Max a full width at the apex of the corner he was taking. He reckoned it would be better all round to call it a racing incident, but if blame were to be apportioned, Max is in the wrong.
That’s how I would call it too. I think that it was the bounce off the kerb that really caused it to be so bad. If it hadn’t been for that they both would have got round, tight, but relatively safely.Felipe Massa on the F1 YouTube channel post race show calling it as 50/50
If wishing made it so.The beeb radio commentary had it as "Max would rather have the crash than finish behind Hamilton".
In which case it's definitely deliberate and the only reasonable solution is a lifetime ban for both the driver and the team.
Ooh, shite, sorry, missed you were on catch-up But at least you'd already seen Max v Lewis Round 2still watching the race on catch up so will leave the thread at this stage
but Whinger spice is going to be some much fun when i get to him
My Mrs called it when Whinger said, "The important thing is that the halo system worked and there were no serious injuries."Whingers “reasonable” 50/50 attitude in the post race interview was a huge tell. I’ll be looking for that in the future.
Ooh, shite, sorry, missed you were on catch-up But at least you'd already seen Max v Lewis Round 2
