Hamilton is by far the most experienced driver with 287 F1 races of course he has faults but he also exhibits sportsmanship which Verstappen is too desperate to be able to consider

If he’d stayed on the track he’d have dropped a few places, so he gained a massive advantage.

If he'd stayed on track he likely would have hit Verstappen (or, arguably, vice versa).

Again, Verstappen can't expect to just do what he likes and rely on other drivers to play safe and thus give him the places. Win them legally, or don't get the places.
