Donald Trump, the road that might not lead to the White House!

The protesters chant “Fuck Donald Trump” and “Whose streets? Our streets.” Lots of audible sirens. Protesters topple trash cans and there are sounds of shattering glass. Multiple protesters bash a window of a McDonalds. The protesters are running, and one is using a long stick to swipe at a police officer, who sprays from a canister at the protester, who runs away.

The scripturally consistent Westboro Baptists come out against Trump. Talk about uniting the nation.

Somebody should tell them that 'Adulterer In Chief' placard is idolatry and they are going to burn in Hell.

Moreover, intelligence agencies like the CIA and NSA regularly provide the White House and high-level diplomats with information on the drug habits, sexual preferences, financial shenanigans, criminal associations, allegations of corruption or family squabbles of other world leaders, foreign business figures or other prominent individuals. WikiLeaks, for example, made public a U.S. diplomatic cable hinting at Libyan dictator Muammar Qadhafi’s relationship with his “voluptuous blonde” Ukrainian nurse.

The Government Secrets Trump Is About to Discover

Some poor schmuck is going to have to hand the 'Donald Trump' file, to The Donald.:D

A new scientific discovery: a moth with a silky head of bright yellow scales, which has been described as orange-yellow in colouration.

Notably its genitalia is “comparatively smaller” than that of the Neopalpa neonata, its closest relative.

Found in Southern California, and into Mexico, it has been named Neopalpa donaldtrumpi:

I'm really coming to hate that word. Its become nothing more than a swift way to dispose of people who have valid concerns.

Along with SJW, which I think is worse. :(

with snowflake, you can turn it around on accusers, who are invariably getting into a huff about something which doesn't / shouldn't really affect them. SJW as an insult, and all the toxic bs built up around it is harder to combat.

I agree. I call people out on it usually, "so what sort of cunt is against Social Justice then exactly?"

Wear it with pride. SJW? Fuck Yes. What else is there?

On War Is Boring No, Trump Isn’t Liquidating the Federal Nuke Force
...
Nichols points out that, when it comes to Trump and nukes, it’s hard to pin down a solid policy decision. On Dec. 22, Trump tweeted that “The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.”

Later, MSNBC asked Trump if he wanted to clarify his statements. “Let it be an arms race,” Trump said, apparently doubling down on his earlier statements. But on Jan. 15, Trump told European reporters he may lift Russian sanctions in exchange for a reduction in nuclear arms.

For Nichols, when it comes to Trump, you never know until he takes action. When it comes to nukes, that temperament may have dire consequences.
I doubt he really has any really formulated policies as yet. Trump has crowd pleasing talking points. While what a President has said while campaigning is often BS, especially with Trump who can change positions within sentences, but it is a great revealer of character.

That's nearly all bad with Trump. He is both credulous believer of conspiracy theories and an impulsive dissembler. He appears to shun expert advice. He has a painfully limited attention span. He's very easily provoked. He's an apparent narcissist. He regularly plays people false in business. He's a wealthy bully who never has been seriously knocked down. The only real test of character he seems to have endured is going bankrupt which he bore like a man propped up by a loving family. Under pressure I suspect he'd melt down entirely. Either freeze or lash out as the man has no bottom: he is a "pussy" as Lavrov let slip.

This guy could at 2:00am tomorrow be told a nuclear strike is incoming. He then has to decide whether to launch a retaliatory strike. He'll have about the length of a US sitcom... without the adds. I really don't trust Trump being hustled into a Whitehouse bunker that might not save his much loved beautiful self and family.

Yeltsin faced a call of this kind and fortunately was not drunk and waved it away. It was a failure of the warning system and by luck their was an able guy on duty who conveyed it to Yeltsin that way. Putin facing a decapitation strike would now have minutes to make the call as the Russian early warning systems have decayed.

It's also about the chemistry of leaders. Putin is arrogant and makes myopic mistakes but the KGB is a tough school. I'd trust Putin's quick judgement and cool head. But do I trust Putin's instincts on Trump with his well publicised love of sneak attacks and record of treacherous dealing after friendly overtures? Nope. I also think Putin won't be able to resist eventually testing an apparently effete Trump despite his flawed character. Russian strategy almost doesn't look like strategy. It is incremental, experimental and agile. Putin will seek a confrontation to see if Trump backs down. Because Putin is the sort of tough little guy who loves nothing better than the sweet sound of a bully weeping helplessly in a corner.

Wars are often more accidental than strategic stemming from an accumulation of errors and doctrine. Trump is a series of errors waiting to happen. What does Trump do if he gets into an escalatory spiral with the Russians and they take out a whole advancing US Armoured Brigade with a tactical nukes as their 2014 doctrine suggests?

What does he do if his trade war with China goes hot as trade wars often do? The Chinese are quite frank about going nuclear in the South China sea. Lose an aggressively deployed Carrier Group to racial inferiors and take it on the chin? What if they call his bluff over welching on the One China thing and go for Taiwan.

I think Pence is scarier in some ways, because he's sincere. So even though I reckon Trump will be gone within a year or two that doesn't cheer me up much.
Ideally I'd like Trump to just resign of his own volition, stating health problems and a desire to play more golf. At least that way he would be letting down his supporters and couldn't blame it on any particular anti-american conspiracy.

Apparently his first acts as president were to sign a proclamation of a national day of patriotism, and sign the Mattis Waiver bill, recently approved by senate and house to allow a recently retired general to become defence secretary (apparently would have had to wait 7 years).

perhaps trump will shuffle off the presidential coil by being arraigned for shooting his vice president.

i got the impression from his speech (albeit the subtitles to his speech) that he was keen on patriotism so i am surprised but gratified to see him limit it to a day a year.

jesus. Just read this thing, which attempts to explain how he (the new Defence Secratary) got his 'mad dog' nickname. It's cos he finds shooting people fun.
How Trump's secretary of defense pick earned his 'Mad Dog' nickname
