Because if he's able to weaponise, with popular support, a toddler tantrum on that scale, the prospects are going to be scary.

I have no reason to suspect when I watch this one that he'll perform at anything other than exactly the same level...its actually quite difficult to catch him out on anything because he hasn't really said anything of enough substance upon which you could catch him and he's not about to start doing so at this stage of the contest.....he enjoys a certain advantage in this regard as his total shamelessness and vacuoussness liberates him to make any sort of claim or denial pretty much unfiltered and bull-doze through attacks ...

Trump isn't a normal candidate, the US is in a very different place to where it was when Mondale was abroad in the land, and for all his undoubted qualities he wasn't a candidate who exactly stirred alot of fervour or enthusiasm in his supporters...Trump has new voters, motivated voters & voters who quite possibly aren't going to admit to being so to pollsters or inquisitive members of the media

I think a half way competent republican candidate would be a major threat to Clinton - shes not well liked, shes been around a long time and has accumulated a lot of baggage. Shes the perfect opponent for someone like trump. Sanders would have made mincemeat of him.

During both debates there have been moments where she has been floored by how fucking stupid her opponent is. She would actually do much better against someone more in her league intellectually. It must be very difficult to debate with someone as unpredictable and well, insane as him. How do you even react to some of the shit he comes out with, particularly on live tv.
