At one moment I imagined that maybe she was trying to goad him into losing it and pushing her / giving her a slap or something.
or a pussy grab. Mans a loon, this is what happens when someone born to wealth is never told 'no'. At least our soon to be liquidated aristocracy have the decencey to subject their spawn to private schooling and military service in order to render them fit to actually exist (debatable). Still failed with Prince 'deffo not a peed' Andrew though

Just emerging from the land of nod and only seen clips. Should have been knockout time for Clinton, but it didn't look like that. Trump did a good job of being Trump - used everything that's wrong with him as a person and as a politics. Haven't seen any figures - and the last week has certainly done him some damage - but the Debate might even have stopped the slide. If Clinton had played it better and hadn't got the albatross of Bill's behaviour/her part in it, this morning should have been the point the Republican defections from Trump speeded up. Doubt that will happen.

I was just watching a summary of the debate, contrary to what I read about the debate in the media before watching it I think that astonishingly he actually did quite well considering the circumstances.

Thats what i thought.

How many people live in London? Didn't Boris Johnson get elected as mayor?
About 9 million, and he wasn't a declared sexual assaulter of women, tbf.

I reckon that allegations and recordings of the sort that Trump has been subject to would end the career of a British politician or at least stick it down the khazi for a very long time.

He did well in that he didn't do horribly. He came off as human following the pussy tape. So, he saved himself from destruction.

It's pretty pathetic; but shit happens, I guess.

John, did you assume it was a nationalist point? That it could only happen in America? Stoopid Americans?

It happens all over the fucking world. Shit floats to the top. When we express exaspération with this and commiseration with the American people we aren't trying to come across as superior - our ex-PM fucked a dead pig - we're lamenting that given the choice between Mussolini and Jimmy Savile, we're expected to be enthusiastic supporters of Savile.

Melania Trump and Bill Clinton shaking hands. Every day, this election becomes more and more like a trip on peyote buttons.

he did better than the previous debate, thats it. his brief 'locker room talk' apologies were followed up by weird isis rambles. If 'managed to look human' next to killarybot for a bit is the measure now then we are all fucked. He was calmer this time round but still got a little riled, I think they gave him tramadol to counter the coke this time round. It was 90 minutes of sheer bullshitting. Iran, China, ISIS, we were great once. You know two-shits? billy bullshitter elevenerifes and how you'd wonder what might happen if you got two of the most egregious examples of that in conversation? That was the 'debate'

How does the electoral college work?
It's an antiquated mess. IMO it was put in to protect the land owning rulers from the unwashed masses.
The United States Electoral College is the institution that elects the President and Vice President of the United States every four years. Citizens of the United States do not directly elect the president or the vice president; instead they elect representatives called "electors", who usually pledge to vote for particular presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Electors are apportioned to each of the 50 states as well as to the District of Columbia (also known as Washington, D.C.). The number of electors in each state is equal to the number of members of Congress to which the state is entitled.....

How does the electoral college work?
Each state has a number of delegates to the college, roughly by population size. The delegates are largely honour bound to vote for the winner of the popular vote - and almost certainly do, but that's where the excitement might come in with this election. In a couple of states I think there's local legislation that says they have to vote with the popular vote. May also be the odd one where they split their electoral college votes proportionally (or have I dreamt that??). It's possible to win the popular vote but lose the election (2000, Gore - and at least one other time).

Has anyone mentioned that Trump virtually threatened to have Hillary arrested & thrown in prison? No matter what anyone thinks of her, that's banana republic stuff & quite scary. I've never seen one candidate threaten an opponent like that. His crowds chant "Lock her up." He may well try to do it.
