I'll be completely honest I'm not a fan of breadandcircuse I don't really like most of the videos they post or their political takes. But the level of vitriol here is bizzare, as frankly is the butchers love fest.

I have no knowledge of this "butchers" person, so have nothing whatsoever to say on the matter regarding them but I am familiar with breadandcircuse... and she does not deserve the over-the-top pile on to which she has been subjected over the past few days.

I don't tend to watch these videos either - for reasons I have already stated - but as with anything else which holds no interest for me personally, I don't march all over threads, demanding that people stop posting particular sorts of things. It's no great hardship to scroll past anything that is of no interest. In fact I do so with about 98% of what is posted on here. This whining is real kindergarten stuff and it runs counter to most of the reasonably thoughtful stuff that I see posted on many threads on here. It's rather unedifying to say the least and bullying at worst.

I'll stick with my criticisms of Meidas Touch and the politics it represents, but yes breadandcircuse as a poster doesn't deserve any of this shit. I might have a nostalgia for the 'old' politics discussions on urban, problematic though they were in some respects, but when it comes to people who are not fash/homophobes/misogynists and the rest..... well, actually, I've no idea where the 'line' is and it varies from topic to topic, but let's avoid being shitty.

I kind of agree it's got a bit much and I don't really want to add to the pile on. But plenty of people have been given a hard time for posting shitty clickbaity content in the past. One of the things a lot of people value about this site, especially the politics forums, is that there has traditionally been a certain amount of rigour in what content people post and that sources of information can be trusted or meet a certain standard of legitimacy and accuracy - and most of the videos posted just don't.

I for one dont mind the videos & have actually watched some of them. I dont do YouTube, have left X/Twitter so i guess this is the only place i would see them now.

Jesus Christ and I thought I could take forums and things too seriously sometimes.

There's thousands of posts a day from thousands of posters, on an open forum, that has an array of nonsense off topic and far worse things, has loose if any modding, and aims to be friendly and welcoming.

Several pages of bickering and being so melodramatic is completely fucking embarrassing.
