My point was that the West blundered by fighting alongside Nazi units because, although they are not representative of the majority, they hand Putin the propaganda tool of representing the war as a fight against Nazis thus motivating his population to fanatical heights that he could achieve by no other means.

My other point was that involving German in the war was a similar blunder because, although Germany is not a Nazi country, it hand Putin the even better indeed unsurpassable propaganda tool of... etc. etc.

Shouldn't people be indicted because there is evidence they have committed crimes; irrespective of whether prosecution improves or decreases a group's electoral success? So even if Trump's approval goes up - if there is significant enough evidence that, for instance, he is a fraudulent crook and libeller (all things he has so far been found guilty of) as well as alleged, mishndling of classified document, conspiracy to defraud the government and witness tampering - these political issues should be irrelevant and he should face prosecution? Do you agree?

I think you'll find the Democrats have at least 6 plans to beat trump, only one of which you name - there is the inconsequential matter of the election next year, and it's by no means ordained that trump should triumph then
