He's just signed some executive orders in front of the rubes, including withdrawing from the Paris Accord. More to come apparently, and it's expected to be more J6 insurrectionists pardoned. Then he threw out Sharpies to his cult, who were screaming for the pens, as if he was a fucking rock star.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he is looking at Feb.1 as the day he plans to slap Canada and Mexico with 25 per cent across-the-board tariffs.

Trump made the statement while signing executive orders at the White House Monday night, citing the the migration of people and fentanyl crossing the borders.

The date comes after Trump officials, speaking anonymously, suggested to reporters that the Republican president would only sign a memorandum telling federal agencies to study trade issues, including alleged unfair trade and currency practices by Canada, Mexico and China.

In his inauguration speech earlier Monday, Trump did not mention Canada but said he was going to overhaul the trade system to protect American workers and families.

And Canada will retaliate.

It's interesting that for more than 30 of the states have Canada as their major customer. There is a plan if US goes ahead with this. In addition to the Federal governments response, provinces can act unilaterally. Just today, Ontario's premiere stated he would ban US liquor from being sold in Ontario.
 
Latest, just in: Trump has withdrawn the USA from the World Health Organization.

For an idea of how significant this is for the future of the WHO, the USA is by far the single biggest financial contributor to its budget.
