Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

It is a poor reflection on a great country, the USA, that the two main apparent candidates for the next presidential election are a doddery old Biden and an absolute fruitloop in Trump.

Is that really the best that the USA can come up with?
For all the slagging off of politics in the US, there's plenty of grass roots activists and thinkers over there, who unfortunately don't get a look in.

The focus of MAGA is to stamp out woke, that being anything they don't like. Black lives, LGBT people and visibility, and yes, history and library books. To name but a few.

Toss him out the window in a tribute to his sponsor.

Maybe an automaton assassin left over from COINTELPRO. Maybe falling off his yacht a la Maxwell. Poisoned hair dye, almost got Castro. The possibilities are endless once you start thinking...

By ‘deep state’, can you be a little more precise re: the bodies involved?

Sure can. The most virulent anti-Trumpers are in the CIA and the FBI, although Milley isn't far behind. These guys have been panting for war with Russia for a decade. Hillary was all set to give it to them, but along came Trump and scuppered their plans. So now they hates him.

Oops - I deleted that post because you had already clarified what you meant in the interim.
Anyway, thanks for clarifying.

Is that what "they" do?

You're asking me if the secret services engage in conspiracies? Why yes. Yes they do my little goose. Indeed they do. Some would say they do little else. Also, we're on planet earth. It's a ball-shaped object circling the sun at approximately oh why do I bother.

Yes, why are you bothering?

This may be great lolz and bantz for you, but it's tedious for quite a few of us here.

This is the sort of whiffy tripe that people avoid on social media, why did you decide to bring it here?

It's well past its sell by date.

We'll see, but it's hard for me to imagine how Biden can win. He literally can't walk or talk these days, that's no exaggeration. And I won't repeat what happened when he saw the Pope. I suppose they could hide him away for the whole campaign, and they've already said they won't be having debates, but still. I can't see it working. I reckon they'll replace him with Gavin Gruesome.

fuck off marty1

No, I think the Democrats and the deep state are trying to put him in prison because they think he'll win the election if they don't. He might be guilty, but that's not really the point.
Two points if I may. First, this oddly misses the point and is slightly contradictory. The question was whether charges should be brought irrespective of political outcomes? It is perhaps to the Democrats credit (not a phrase I use regularly, if at all) that they continue to support a legal process even though it strengthens, according to you and President Trump, the Democrat's opponents chances of electoral success.

Second, whilst I don't deny that sections of government conspire. And that powerful corporate bodies sway many key sectors of democratic states (an issue in all capitalist states not just the US), I don't think you lay the blame for all the lawsuits and convictions of Mr Trump at the door of a shadowy and ill-defined entity, The Deep State. Is there any type of evidence that would convince you of Donald Trump's malpractice? Or is no testimony or evidence to be considered legitimate if it darkens Mr Trump's reputation?

I don't need to be convinced of Trump's malpractice, I'm already convinced. But it's a cart-before-horse problem. The deep state (defined above) decided to convict him of something, so they've devoted their huge resources to finding something and, given Trump's character and practice, I imagine they probably will find something. They may even manage to put him in prison, but it will do them no good because he will win the election from his cell, unless they steal it of course.

Do I think it's to the Democrats' credit that they're doing this? No because they expected a different outcome. Do I think charges against Trump should be brought if malfeasance is discovered? No, because I think the crazed neocons who control the Democrats and the deep state are likely to provoke a nuclear war if Biden or a surrogate is elected in '24. Any action towards that end is immoral imho.

:D they haven't had to look far though

They bloody have. They started off by making stuff up (Russiagate, peegate), then they impeached him, they've been scouring through his past and present conduct for six years. Even so they don't seem to have very much on him, if anything. We'll see. But the pertinent question is why they are doing it. It's not from a disinterested search for justice, it's to pre-empt the democratic process. Not cool.

Well, it's been an education but you're clearly here for the lolz, or perhaps you be genuinely crazed yourself if you think Gaetz, Jewish-, space-lasers MTG, and all the other loons are in any way the answer to neoconservatives.

Good morning to you.
