It's not a question of supporting Trump, it's a question of the alternative. Biden is obviously unfit for office. His condition has allowed the likes of Nuland to seize control of US foreign policy, and they've been trying to provoke Russia into war since 2014. They couldn't do it when Trump was in office, and they won't be able to continue doing it if he's re-elected. So Trump's re-election is the only viable way to stop the war, and stopping the war is the most urgent task facing us today.

Trump will negotiate with Putin, as he's often said. The most likely result will be that Russia keeps Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia. That's the best deal Ukraine can get now afaics.

It's a variation on an idea that's been posited by various people tbf. The one I've seen put forward is that, in return, what remains of Ukraine joins NATO.
What's the realistic alternative to this kind of negotiation? The war isn't ending any time soon. Estimates put the number of dead around the 200,000 mark already. Do they slug it out until they reach seven figures?
Not that I see Trump as the saviour here.
Then who do you see as the saviour? Believe me, if I saw anyone more likely to end the war I'd vote for them.
Putin won't accept NATO membership for Ukraine, or not without some serious reverses on the battlefield. Does the West have the appetite to hand him those reverses? I'd say "yes" if Biden is President, and "no" if Trump is. And I know which I'd prefer.

Eastward expansion of NATO happened 2009. Russia didn't cite it at the time of either invasion.
US has been pushing Europe to spend more on defense for decades. EU is actually sending more money to Ukraine than US. US wants to stop sending kit it would give EUropean defense contractors scope for work in the downturn

It depends on how the war is going. If it goes against Russia badly enough, Putin will have to cross a few of his own red lines. The one he won't ever cross is Crimea, he'll go nuclear before he gives that up.
The USA is deeply divided over the war. What's really strange is that the division is the precise reverse of the equivalent during the Vietnam war. The working-class opposes the war in Ukraine, while the bourgeoisie supports it. And the only Congresspeople to oppose it are a clique of allegedly "far-right" Republicans; the liberal Democrats are all gung-ho.
