Just bought this outdoor bench, last one in the garden centre and reduced by £50. It’s being delivered on Friday for an extra £15.

Too late to use this year probably. It’s meant to be stored outside, but wonder if I should buy a cover and / or put some weather proofing stuff on it.

That's a really nice bench! And yes some weatherproofing/cover of some description will probably increase its outdoor longevity.

Do you know what type of wood it is? Some weather better than others without treatment/cover protection.

Superb items in the last few posts!
I love this thread.
I used to get some of the decor magazines back in the day (was an absolute sucker for them tbh), thank fuck I now have the internet to look at nice stuff :D

Is it going to still be in the box at the back of a cupboard at the end of 2025?
At least your air fryer might have some company

:p
I'll actually use this as I eat quite a bit of veg.

I've also ordered some liners for the airfryer but at least they'll never go off and they can the machine company.

A large fleece blanket (2.7 x 2.3m) for 30 odd quid. It's lovely and warm for lying on the settee.

Oooh, that's a good size for the price, I tend to go for the smaller (cheaper) ones but a bigger one would be useful - where did you buy it from?

Not a purchase yet, but I’m off to Ikea to look at lightshades. Currently on my landing I have a horrible paper globe, and in my office I have nothing as I broke the existing paper globe when changing the bulb

Downstairs I have wool lightshades

bought in Pembrokeshire, but they were quite pricey, and I want something different. The landing light fitting is quite close to the loft ladder too, so nothing too big or delicate.

Any ideas on what would suit? I have very little clue when it comes to this sort of thing

Bought this beaut which I am hoping will be a life-changing item of furniture, and the first night's sleep on it says as much.

I was looking for a sofa bed that would be able to function as a main bed and easily be convertible from single to double-sleeper. Rarer than one might think! After a lot of research and resolving to stump up the money, I decided on this model.

Was literally about to buy it from John Lewis, but couldn't resist one last look on Gumtree/eBay and lo and behold, there it was, up for auction. Won it at auction for £500 when it retails at £1200.
Felt a bit risky to buy it unseen (I had seen and tried it out at John Lewis, but this second-hand one I didn't see in person), and of course had to organise and pay for a courier which also felt stressful.

But yesterday was the big day for delivery and everything went smoothly and it's brilliant and I'm very pleased indeed.

(ETA: Photo not in my flat though I like the colour of the wall).
