I've been on a bit of a shopping spree this week.

-3 pairs of birkenstock from tk maxx
- denim skirt and a black pencil skirt
- a few tops

and this dress which fits really well and I'm very pleased with as I've been wanting a pretty summer dress for a while. It has a cut out detail on the back .

Can't stop buying all the various colours and styles of these tops from H&M. Everything I've bought for summer has been from there so far, I don't even love H&M that much but it's the only store which has clothes in western sizes.

Husby also bought me a bottle of Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche cos I finally got my cast off my arm, I was so horrified at how much a tiny bottle costs here. Itty bitty 50ml bottle cost over £70. Poor Mr Yu.

a pair of bootcut Wrangler jeans from TK Maxx for 12 quid. I love that shop.

The best jeans I ever had were a pair of Wrangler Lucy.

They don't do them in my size now though.

Been having a lot of trouble finding cheap shoes to go with the pink mushroom dress, but Primark yielded these, which are just about right:



I also got the same in blue (mysteriously a size smaller but still fit). I didn't think the ankle strap thing would be good on me but it's fine.


and some yellow peep-toed espadrilles which I'm less sure about now I've got them home as they tend to fall off. You can't walk around in shoes in Primark because they're tied together.


These were all £6 each.

That's pretty and I don't think it's too short but I guess that depends on how YOU feel in it. If you're going to feel paranoid it's too short iykwim!

Ruby, did you make the mushroom dress/skirt?? I'd love to see a better photo of that. Liking the flowery shoes too, not keen on showing toes for some reason!

Meanwhile in a frivolous moment I ordered a ton of dresses from Dorothy P, which turned up today. They are all too short/really unflattering except for this one which is quite pretty but still perhaps not that flattering and when would I ever wear a white dress, and would it still be white when I got home, and what about the 46975 very nice dresses I already have?

Hm I don't think the white dress is going to make it back to the warehouse somehow. It's just too pretty and I feel like an angel in it, albeit an overweight one. There will be a party some time. I'll just have to not eat, or drink anything other than vodka and water, or lean on anything or sit down or let anyone touch me. It'll be fine.
