Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Walked past a make-up shop called Kiko today in a shopping centre in the furthest sticks and bought a couple of eyeshadow pens. I'm in favour of things that don't need brushes...

The blue one pretty much matches the current colour of my hair. The colours are intense and really long lasting - it took about 3 washes to get all the colours I'd tried off the back of my hand.

Very much in the composition of cotton blends for a not very high price. I really like natural fabrics (it can be connected with children because they deserve the best).

just in case you're thinking about getting one in future, fjalraven (sp?) do sell wax for waterproofing their bags...

The man didn't mention that in the shop and I even specifically asked about waterproof. Oh well. I'm pretty happy with my existing backpack. I only bought it last year and its still in good nick apart from the strap (some wally stood on the plastic strap adjuster thingy) which I fixed.

My new bag looks a lot nicer when that person in the horrible outfit isn't holding it.

Went thrift shopping and found a trove of sweaters with their tags still on. Some store must have donated a large lot because there were multiples of the same item in many cases:

Polo Cashmere cable knit ($7)

Vintage, fully lined boots ($6)

I found these in a AA width. One of the reason I like vintage is because you can get the narrower sizes in shoes.

Vintage Cowboy shirt ($2)

It's not my usual black so we'll have to see how long these last in my wardrobe before being recycled out. I seem to be trending more and more toward vintage.

I think someone on this thread had bought some lovely multicoloured ladies ankle boots/and or brogues, maybe Shirl ? - can't find posts though. Want to know what make they were! Maybe they were on want and can't has thread?

In the meantime, I've just bought this Desigual cardi on secret sales. Unusually, I didn't like that much of the Desigual stuff on offer, but this will do:

A few grey jumper/jersey dresses (one is a massive roll neck knitted thing, one a sweatshirt dress with ¾ sleeves and one a long sleeve jersey basic). Perfect for cycling to uni in, comfy enough to sit through lectures and do clinical skills in. Boring, functional, but I'm very happy with them :)

Pink cords.

And also a light brown duffle coat, a pair of black flared cord dungarees, a few turtle neck fine knit sweaters, and a blazer in brown and black houndstooth. I'm going for a 1970's professor vibe at work this semester. Ideally I'd like to find another blazer, maybe in cord, with elbow patches. :hmm:

Can I ask where you got the pink cords? Love them....are they a bit like full length culottes?... :)

Not many purchases recently...
Got a pair of those indestructible tights advertised on fb...:facepalm:I know.....lol..
But . They really are great apart from the sheen. I hate tights because I usually put a fingernail or toenail through them before they've even made it to day 3 of their lives.
These tights are feckin brilliant. I even tried ripping them...for the science of it all.
Got a pair in black and another in nude.
Not only are they indestructible but they pull in any wobbly bits and...they give some support to my legs.
