David Cameron's son dies, aged 6

Hooverbag is a 19 year old middle class kid who thinks this is how radicals are supposed to behave and what they're supposed to say.

Having known him personally for over 20 years, I can tell you that TE would never allow political or class differences to get in the way of basic human decency.

Maybe he means Fucking Eagleton, TE's rarely-mentioned but much, much more hardcore nephew.

Can't believe how many docile fuckers have fallen for this emotional bullshit. Fuck Cameron and his son:- worse things happen to thousands of people across the world we never even hear about. Why don't you go tell some slum-kids in Rio about Cameron's kid and see how many of them feel the need to shed a tear about it.

Common humanity=liberal crock of shite. Go read some fucking Eagleton - the ruling classes have been using this bilge to blunt the class-war for centuries now, you'd have thought Urban's class warriors would have wisened abit by now. Common humanity is a socialist ideal, not a present day reality, in which the blatant material contradictions between different lives form the basis for any serious social perspective.

if i take this correctly, you have no sympathy for cameron as it's a class issue, is it the same for all your judgements (and let's include e-numbers in this) you have no sympathy for a grieving tory father, but sympathy for a grieving anarchist father or family? no sympathy for a tory who commits a crime, but sympathy for an anarchist who commits a crime ?

is that how it works?

Fuck a six year old for dying? Nice.

To be honest I don't care about his death either, at least not enough to grow actively emotional, but all this posturing and posing, using your indifference to a strangers grief as a banner to show off what a bad ass rebel you are is just fucking pathetic. And it's absolutely nothing to do with Anarchism whatsoever, it was a child, it had absolutely no responsibility for the beliefs or behaviour of his father.

Dumb fucks.

butchersapron is as middle-class as they come - at least I don't take pains to conceal it.

You've got me mixed up. It's fuck all to do with individual people or their political beliefs, it's everything to do with systems of exploitation. Why are we wasting our time bemoaning the "human tragedy" which is the death of Cameroony's son when we have a social system built on human tragedy? If you know the kid, then fine - I can understand why you'd be upset. But no-one here does know him. We gonna start a thread for every single malnourished Ethiopian kid who dies prematurely? How about every Rio kid who gets shot up in gang wars? How about the personal tragedy of wasted life's potential on the planet? No - but for some reason you guys all uncritically give a shout-out about the quite frankly incredibly lucky child of David Cameron, who by the standards of most human beings born with cerebral palsy lived an luxurious life with ample access to treatment and medication.

All I'm asking is for you to look at the bigger picture - it's awash with heart-rending atrocities to humankind.

If you think I give enough of a shit about you or what you think of me that I would 'posture' in order to impress you then you've got your own narcissistic complex to be concerned about.

lol - crazy urbanite eejits - bunch of egoistic maniacs

No you arent, you started your post with "Can't believe how many docile fuckers have fallen for this emotional bullshit. Fuck Cameron and his son".

So the posturing and dick waving is purely for the pleasure of your own ego eh? Well that makes it all better, as long as you didn't think anyone would actually be impressed by how edgy you are.

And nice work with the projection there, I'm sure we'll all lose sleep tonight wondering why the hardcore radical doesn't care what we think of him. Even more torturous given the fact that you keep replying and attempting to justify yourself, albeit incoherently, which would almost make a poster think that you actually did care what we thought.

You're still here yourself, I see.

Your point being? I'll happily admit that I get something out of posting in this thread, a kind of warm glow, like slipping into bed with a hot water bottle. A feeling made possible only by the piss easy opportunity to highlight just how much of a dick you apparently are.

agreed nice one:

I stand by every word I've said here. Show me the contradiction.

Its here, in the words that you used:

This is rather different, in fact contradicts your earlier statement:

Pup,

You are a politician. Admittedly, you are a crap, shouty, teenage, Trot politician, so you're not important, but you're a politician nonetheless. You should know stuff that politicians know.

One bit of that stuff is that even if you are a callous or spiteful shit, you should try not to speak callously or cruelly in public - especially if children are involved. You should try to conceal your shittiness.

You don't have to pretend that you care about David Cameron or his wife. You don't have to say anything about their son's death. You should just avoid antagonising people who know that the death of a child is sad, regardless of whose son or daughter the child is.

I hope you don't think I'd present my case like this anywhere that actually mattered.

Urban is no such place.

Tangentally; do you agree?

You have no class politics, just a mirror image of bourgeois anti-human values. Sort yourself out or fuck off; as it stands you're a liability

You're demanding I be a bourgeois humanist, r-tard, in getting all het up about the individual tragedy of Cameroony's life. I, instead, side with the actually oppressed of the world rather than buying into this hysterical personality politics.

Grow a perspective.

You're the one getting het up attempting the most radical posture. If your politics are so feeble or fucked-up you think compassion for a dead child would be a concession or implies buying into some image, perhaps you might consider your "perspective." There's nothing radical about being a twat, they're ten-a-penny.

Certainly not.

Urban is an *excellent* testing-ground for ideas, because it gives a representative cross-section of young(ish), liberal(ish) British opinion. I've certainly found that my hard-won ability to convince (most) people here of the truth of my opinions concerning religion and politics has paid handsome dividends in other areas.

By the same token, the fact that (almost) no-one here agrees with you ought to give you pause, and make you reflect that perhaps your ideas are not as sound as you thought they were.
