ffs that's the most hideous crochet objet i've ever seen in the nicest possible way
That's brilliant, but not as brilliant as the Panda and Greebo you sent me!
Thank youThat's brilliant, but not as brilliant as the Panda and Greebo you sent me!
Look up mattress stitch, it's the best way of doing simple seams.I've crocheted a simple beanie with (cat?) ears while avoiding assembling a cardigan.
I'm doing it now! I've not sewn bits together before and certainly not pieces from a pattern. I'll also have to do a bit of edge involving buttons that is also new to me. eek. etc.
Can you post the pattern pic, or a photo when it's finished please...I've been looking for nice beret patterns for ages.I've recently finished a granny square blanket for someone at work who is expecting. Now though I've started a hat. The pattern is from 1935, is a tilted beret with flat bow and crocheted out of mercerised cotton. Never used this kind of thread before so it's interesting
Thank youIt's from ravelry who then link to free vintage crochet (I think) Tilted Beret Pattern #20 | Crochet Patterns
For toys for kids you really need approved toy stuffing. Although I think that's mainly about it not being inflammable and wool is not very inflammable. Someone might want it for felting? It's probably not spinning grade, I'd imagine they tend to use coarse leftovers for insulation...Does anyone want some wool for stuffing? I've got loads of wool insulation packs for keeping food deliveries cool. Like this. Are they any good for stuffing?

Heavy silver cufflinks with a reticulated surface. I'm making a few pairs of these from a bangle that I made for myself but then didn't like it enough to keep it.
Thank you VP. As I said in the post, they came out of a bangle that for some reason just didn't seem to work for me. It was quite heavy for a start. I love it when something not quite right becomes something I'm pleased with. Those cufflinks are gorgeous.
