Crafty Thread - what are you working on at the moment?

I think I'm going to ditch those bobbins. Even if they would work in my machine I can't imagine a time when I will ever need that many! How on earth did she ever end up with that many??
You can buy pre-threaded bobbins really cheap in the middle of Lidl/Aldi usually they come in a big pack with a small quantity of thread the same colour.

I bought them before, it's handy if you have children with colourful clothes, that way you usually have a bit f something "close enough" in colour, pop the bobbin in, thread the spool and off you go and you don't end up with your main metal bobbins part loaded with loads of different colours. I have found it helpful to bypass some of my traits and to avoid the "pile" where I think I can't repair thin with white/black thread, I'll get some purple tomorrow, then tomorrow never comes and the child outgrows the shirt anyway but it remains in the pile because "I might use the fabric one day". Trying to make it harder for myself to procrastinate sort of thing.

If you do only big stuff where you buy the matching thread for the fabric and you aren't a procrastinator then it's not for you.

I've bought those bobbins, they're great and such a timesaver. They also do a really good range of quality sewing threads although you have to get in quick to get them as they fly off the shelves in my local Lidl.

I'm not a sophisticated sower (squares, circles and rectangles!) but found this lovely piece of cotton fabric (the blue flower-patterned one) at a car boot sale recently (3 euros!) and made these cushion covers.

Just a heads-up - I saw it is crafts/hobbies week in Lidl starting Sunday 29th, including the aforementioned pack of bobbins and other various useful stuff.
(Also they do a load of really good value paints as well as craft kits suitable for children - good time to stock up if you have crafty youngsters in your life that you buy Xmas gifts for).

The paint sets are excellent (and excellent value), as are the brush packs. I have all of them!

I've been asked to talk about my stuff in an evening presentation at the pottery studio where my wife and I are members. I had to take a few photos for the announcement, so I thought I'd share them here. I've got two sets of stuff: a speckled white dinner ware set, and a group of vases decorated using tape resist.

And an incredibly realistic looking cat! :D

In all seriousness, those are fantastic, I particularly love the green vase with black stripes, but they are all very good :)

Yay pottery ❤️

The tap resists are really neat, love the blue one and the lidded one
