Crafty Thread - what are you working on at the moment?

Powermesh is full of holes though. The pattern I followed had a pocket to put a piece of 'non woven' fabric in and so I used a dried up household wipe I had.

I haven't been able to resist making a couple, even though the general advice is that they are of little or no use.

looks nice though. I imagine they will become very fashionable.

I made some, if nothing else they will stop me touching my face so much. Not that I've been out for over 2 weeks, but people knock on the door.

Fabulous Moose. I am looking into this a bit more now as I have some time off of work.

I did a workshop to make one of of these and we used glue. (Glue on fabric, inside handle, wait a while and then fuse.

But those holes make me think some kind of sewing is an option.

Last timeI used one of those, I used a tiny bit of glue on the inside to secure it in position (not so much that it came through the holes), then a double running stitch in embroidery thread on the outside, through the holes. I gave it as a gift, so no pics, alas.
Some people use fishing line thread so you can't see it, some use a contrast colour and maybe thread a bead on each stitch to emphasis it.

tutorial!

I have been working on this since early January. As ever, I roar through the yoke in days, the body in weeks while the sleeves can drag on for...years. Have been too tense to do much anyway...but still, there are loads of other things I want to do but am stubbornly determined to finish (with needles the thickness of toothpicks, it is slooooooow). Will take any messages of encouragement (not fishing or owt, course not). I get to do a steek too (cutting it right up the middle)

This is gorgeous and is just the sort of thing I wouldn't ever attempt for myself. Only for someone who was a tiny size.

coming along. But I need to find a yellow for Lego and it’s remarkably difficult to do from photos online. In a shop I’d know instantly what the right colour was. Weird huh?
I have some yellows I won't use, happy to send you some skeins if you like?

Oh bless you, that would be amazing if you don’t mind? Are you sure you won’t use them?
Yes, I'm sure, if you PM me your address I'll try to get them in the post tonight.

Yellow isn't a colour I tend to work in, so you're more than welcome to them.

lovely papers gs  i still stash <everything> including washi tapes and square-cut wrapping paper.

if anyone's in want of postal delivery of materials i might likely have some

I hope this isn’t an annoying question. I have been sending a weekly update of resources that we can share with service users and volunteers. Are there any particularly good resources e.g. YouTube films of how to knit or crochet, websites with free patterns or tutorials etc? Some will have the equipment but might not know how to do it.

bella coco for crochet on youtube.

I finished a hat, it looked amazing, fit really well. I blocked it and I think it's grown. I really need to start swatching because I'm pretty sure it's ruined :(

I made 10 posh facemasks for a local FB group/care workers. Those that know me will wonder about my choice of cutesy teddy bear fabric. Well, someone gave it to me, I didn't choose it and so can bear to part with it. Most importantly, they had pre-washed it so I didn't have to mess around doing that either. :D
