countryside riot in london!

ludd, fukoff,
it's well known that the reason the countryside alliance had so many out on the streets is due to the landowners practically ordering their staff to go and laying on transport etc
nevermind the them and us fever that's been whipped up between the countryside dwellers and city folk.

saw a silly henrietta type with her collars turned up and a CA cap in portugal, could she explained what they were for apart from rural lifestyle and why she supported them, could she fuck, looked really confused when i suggested she might wanna take it off then....

i really hope they put these 'hey let's try some direct action and show the hippies how we can organise, wot wot' thru the same shit as mayday protesters or free party people - i seriously doubt it

Yeah it sis probably a load of bollocks but acids aren't nearly as dangerous as most people seem to think.
I mean I did three years of chemistry practical using plenty of different acids (including HF and conc H2SO4) with nothing more than a pair of goggles and a pair of marigolds for protection.

well technically anything that isn't pH neutral is either acid or alkali so from that PoV lots of things are acid yet not dangerous. :D anyway, /pedanticism, the kind of acid that would be used in a demo like this would be the kind that would be harmful pretty rapidly, no? so even if it doesn't corrode rubber instantaneously, it wouldn't last that long in a pair of wellies surely?
anyway it's bollox so why are we even bothering :D

Just a theory! Lots of construction work going on in the HoC.

Debate recommencing shortly (16:40).

I think they shot themselves in the foot with this protest, it can hardly have won the hunt supporters any sympathy.
You really think so?
Like someone else posted earlier I expect that the Times/Torygraph tomorrow will be full to the brim with tales of the poor demonstrators being refused their right to protest and being attacked.

Depends on the inner lining.

I say, officer, that's a bit rotten, what?

oh yes! two rank historical enemies of mine fighting each other! on Camera!

RESULT!!!

Many ordinary working class people who live in the country hunt or are in someway connected with their local hunt. It's not just the "toffs" you know. Why are they your "rank historical enemies?".

see the white shirted protesters being escorted away, lightly by the arm, they weren't eating concrete were they??

Fuck!

Long have I waited for the countryside to go to town and kick up a fuss about the way it's being fucked over.

Pity its happened over some fucking toffs and fucking foxhunting.

Sky news say that the protestors had to walk past the PM's office to get to where they entered the chamber, as butchers said, what a wasted opportunity!

Why was the chamber so empty anyway, thought it would be packed for something like this.

BBC have now stated that loads of them are drunk on cherry brandy. I may have added the cherry brandy bit.

Fucking right, aye.

Still not a fan of the hunt though.

Don't they just run in from the bar when it's time to vote? Do they give a shite what the other side in the debate has to say?

MPs tend to stay in their offices - or the Red Lion - watching the debate on TV until the Division Bell sounds, unless they're actually speaking.

Aaah you ain't got a fucking clue. That's a load of media created bollocks which you'd never swallow if you agreed with the cause.

For another thread really but most working class people I know in Herefordshire identify themselves as countryside folk as well as (or instead of) working class. Fox hunting is just a touchstone for alot of anger at how the countryside has been fucked over by 'metropolitian' pricks in parliment.

Now the M25 too..

Jon Snow of C4 News said:
We have a reporter out on the M25 tonight where the horsebox brigade is out in force slowing the traffic to the consternation of the urban traveller. At seven, we shall be examining direct action and where it goes from here.

Lets' see... Hunt Ball in the fast lane? Thudding Lite Classical and Elgar?

Another fat toff cunt "brutally" abused by Old Bill,

They didn't invade direct from the street -- I agree with Butchers, they will have been given visitors' passes by an MP or similar contact, or let in through a door by a toff who works in the HoC.

Or maybe Gordon Brown let them in. ;)

He wants Blair's job bad.

It's a conspiracy I tell yer!
:D

'It seems likely to me that these people can only have got in as guests of a (sympathetic) MP. Al Q might have trouble finding one of those.'

Maybe George Galloway could invite some in.

re they are 'connected' - in fact I know they are, as hunt workers, followers etc.
Furthermore, rural w/c types are entombed in a culture that tends to go long on deference and 'respecting one's betters'.
however, I can say from personal (childhood) experience, that most huntsmen (y'know, those on Horseback, in pinks) are, if not full toffs, upper-middle to upper-class.
In any possible revolutionary situation, they will be on the other side. And they'll fight, I'll give them that. But they still stand for rank, herarchy, exploitation, an Elite, the works. And the plod are usually their willing attack-dogs.

Also, my personal experience of these people leads me to dislike them strongly. they are the sort of arrogant, selfish, bigoted tossers who aren't worth a light.
They stood by whilst their mate Maggie launched all-out war on the workers, and cheered her on, and never gave a toss about the real misery and deprivation that came with all that.
Now, someone is doing one tiny thing to stop their barbarous, cruel fun - and they go mental. these people really do believe they have Divine Right, that they can do exactly what they like.
sorry, firing squad time...
