Hunt supporters clash with police

Protesters opposed to Government plans to ban hunting clashed with police as thousands of hunt supporters converged on Westminster.

Police drew batons and exchanged blows with a section of the crowd outside Parliament as tempers flared.

Some of the protesters claimed the police attacked them for no reason.

A number of protesters suffered head injuries in the clashes.

Scuffles broke out on the south west corner of Parliament Square as protesters set off fireworks and lobbed plastic bottles and placards at lines of uniformed police officers, knocking their hats off their heads.

First the Buck House stunt, now this.

Three guys in white tee-shirts just walked into the chamber from a side room (it looked like) and another two from another direction.
