LDM: 52.2% (+28.6)
CON: 33.8% (-23.1)
GRN: 11.3% (-2.0)
LAB: 2.7% (-2.6)

Liberal Democrat GAIN from Conservative.
Changes w/ 2021.

It's that time of the week again!

In these very low turnout by-elections the RefUKer vote is certainly looking disruptive at present in some areas:



though in others it seems to be less influential than the collapsing main party vote:

With all the usual low-turnout, 'straws in the wind', localism caveats...there's been cross-over in the aggregate popular vote share in council by-elections since July 4th:

Posted earlier above in the group of results, but this really is such a gem that it deserves its own post. A 16.5% vote share decline leading to a gain!

Great hollands in Bracknell is a v working class area, flat roof pubs etc so Labour vote tanking there is interesting

I think the fact that reform finished such a very close second is the message from locals that I would take tbh.

Chippy has been solid Labour for decades, so for the Lib Dems to come from 3rd is quite an achievement. Pleased the Tories did not take it.

It hadn't struck me as the sort of place that would be labour,

but LD's were 4th in May 2024

Well, it's tory dominated council and their vote share has taken a pummelling in those 2 wards.

To be replaced by another Tory party, a rougher Tory Party.
