He has the squad.

Was a player and won/suffered with the national side. Have been reading great things about him and how he carries himself.

About time England had a good manager. Win or lose, let the guy build for the future.
I was just thinking, one of the things I really like about the current squad is their sense of humour. Especially about themselves. See numerous tweets from players not taking themselves seriously (or wanting sky in their room :D) for eg. I'm sure a lot of that is down to the players themselves but also I get the impression GS has put effort into getting them taking the games seriously not themselves.

We have moved on from the Eriksson era of egos tf. Not that I blame him personally but he did nothing to rein it in afaict.

Dulwich Mishi posted this on FB. Love it :D

Amid all the posts about last night...this has got to be my favourite one I've seen on facebook so far:
"I couldn't face the penalties. I switched over to an episode of Midsomer Murders on ITV3 and saw someone electrocuted on an exercise bike then another bloke drowned in a big pan of tomato soup. Switched back to the football and heard we'd won, now it feels like I've had an exciting evening without the usual stress of a penalty shootout."

Can I just add that I think Southgate is the most dignified England manager since Alf Ramsey

And I think he is well dressed.

Today has been utter magic. I think I actually prefer this semi sarcastic hope phase.

Saying "It's Coming Home" with a cheeky grin is my temporary standard salutation to pretty much everyone. (Email footer was the first to be updated):D

Setting aside Maradona's comments I find it amusing that some of the Colombian team are moaning about the refs decisions and England bias.

Yeah England probably got the nod a few times when they shouldn't, that happens to teams in most matches, however the Colombians played dirty and were bloody lucky not to have a player sent off so I'm not sure the accusations of bias are fair!
