Cardiff City 2014-2015

So the correct phrase wouldn't be shocking then would it. More like a middling start.

We lost a lot of our top players and didn't really set the transfer window alight. So I never expected us to stroll into instant championship dominance.

Medal was really the only player that elevated us beyond mediocre.
For a team that's just come down from the Premiership - with the big fat juicy parachute payment that comes with it - they're having a pretty awful start.

And just to balance the financial bit:
Financial advantage
In pure monetary terms, Cardiff start with an advantage over most Championship clubs.

In addition to the £20m Solskjaer's transfers have generated this summer, there is the substantial parachute payment given to relegated Premier League clubs.

In previous years that figure was £48m, but this year for Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich it is £60m.

And the Bluebirds collected over £60m in revenue just for finishing bottom of the table last season, more than Manchester United banked in 2012/13 for winning the title.

Some may argue this makes the playing uneven, but those are the rules, and it makes good reading for the club. Should they need new recruits in January or fund an emergency loan mid season, then the money is there

Middling? The rest of the Championship are banned from spending more than their budget and you lot get more TV money than the other 21 teams put together. You should all be walking it positions 1, 2, 3.

Ole Gunnar gone

In a statement Dalman said: "Due to a difference in philosophy of approach to the game, we have decided to part company amicably."

Owner Vincent Tan said: "Ole was hired by Cardiff City on our understanding and belief that he would help us fight relegation from the Barclays Premier League.

"Unfortunately that did not happen. After the club was relegated many people advised me to let him go, but I decided to keep Ole on for the Championship season.

"Regrettably our recent results do not justify Ole's continued role as manager at Cardiff.

"Ole has therefore decided to step down and I have accepted this.

"During my short association with Ole, I have found him to be an honest and hardworking professional, but unfortunately the football results were not in his favour."

Another awesome decision by Vincent Tan!

Weren't you the one last season comparing OGS's win loss record to Malky's to show how replacing Malky with OGS had been a bad decision?

I think giving the boot is a good decision.

Talk of Dave Jones returning which might not be so good. He starts a season well but can't finish one well.

I think hiring him in the first place was a fucking shit decision. What do you think?

I agree. I never had much confidence in celeb managers.

Reminds me too much of Wales when they started hiring crowd pleasing celeb names on the cheap rather than pay top dollar for proven expertise.

Fuck me! 0-3 at home against Bournemouth. This is a side in freefall. League one next year, anyone? Just the place for a massive debt to be paid off

I'm told Gabbidon picked himself to play
I'm led to believe that it was due to a popular vote from the fans of that mighty club

It's a good job they only played Bournemouth. If they'd played the whole of the Bourne it could have been six

What's he like as a player these days? I miss him at Palace, but that was a couple of seasons ago obviously.

I didn't see the game but we conceded 3 goals against Bournmouth.

So... far from an ironclad defensive performance I would say.

He was good at Palace. Unlucky to be dropped. Definitely better than our current 3rd and 4th choice CB's (Hangeland and Paddy McCarthy). Similar age to both also.

He was slower than Mr Slow the slowest man in Slowsville City, Slowsville County, USA!

A whole 2.5 years after Tan has shafted the club, some of the fans finally wake up.

Cardiff City supporters threaten to desert their club as social media campaign gathers pace
Cardiff City fans are threatening to walk out on the club next season - citing their frustration with events on and off the field.

The social media campaign called #NoBlueNoRenew has gathered pace in the last 24 hours and message boards are rife with comments of support.

Supporters say if their calls for a return to a blue kit continue to be ignored by members of the board, they will choose not to renew their season ticket for next year.

Mike Jenkins, 26, set up the social media campaign and says that it’s time Vincent Tan listened to the fans.

“It’s about being proud of Cardiff City and people just aren’t at the moment,” he said.

“The club is unrecognisable at the moment and that’s nothing to do with the football, it’s time that Vincent Tan listened.

“We’ve had numerous campaigns, from Tan Out to marching, but nothing has worked. Let’s have an empty stadium and maybe the powers above will listen.

“All it takes is one simple decision. Completely reverse the rebrand and we will renew.

Imagine how effective this might have been if they'd campaigned AT THE START.

All the protests now are 2.5 years too late, bunch of jokers. And the sad thing is if City were still in the prem nobody would give a fuck about the rebrand.

The bigger joke is that if people had organised a boycott the second the rebrand was suggested, it would have been stopped dead in its tracks. Instead most people were too busy being dazzled by the glory-hunting bright lights of the Premiership.

We've lost everything for one shitty season in the Premiership.
