Today in the local newish anti-cruelty to animals shop
- it's a proper old school (slightly) pokey, random stuff & low prices charity shop, full of non-pro printed notices about how they need money & food for the cats rescued from a local old woman's house full of cats, dogs needing rehoming & the importance of getting your cats and rabbits neutered.

v/a - Trance Atlantic
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Trance-Atlantic/release/23119
(has Joey Beltram, Plastikman, Meat Beat Manifesto & Genesis P. Oridge on it. )
2cds & book (Tony Wilson is in the writers list). - flicking through book is very Select around the same period (94/95ish) esp design wise, just without the alt/indie.(similar/identical booze ads & photo style - don't reconise the mag published credited at the beginning though -
worldsendmagazines 'A commitment to pegs in tents' Distributed at market stalls
- flicking further on there's a Select ad that explains the slightly later mass of lost souls/depressives/ultra obsessed Manics fans wanting soulmates in the classifieds,
- OMG there's an advert for Deadline - I never even got to see that in the flesh.

eta: lol at the dig at the Stone Roses just/about to come out eventual new album plugging Trance Atlantic 2 as the 'real second coming' over art that looks a bit like the style of the Roses earlier singles.

^ just like Select etc. was at the time, this is like a doorway to that whole other world (god I wish I could go back & actually be part of it).

The Fatima Mansions - The Loyaliser (4trk single/ep?)
Strangelove - beautiful alone ("Part 1 of a 2cd set" both cds - cd2 originally sold separately)

^ all a pound each.

Dropped in to vinyl exchange cause I was in manc for the morning : quid each

DJ funk - funkgasm
A drop bass network 12, with a woody McBride track
Company flow - funcrusher plus

ooh. picked up some digidub 10"s on the weekend for a couple of quid each, including an iration release (locks/marching dub) that seems to go for daft cash.
