Captain America: Civil War

I really liked the set up of Guardians, and the characters, but after the prison break it was a bit dull....

didn't find Guardians of the Galaxy funny or entertaining and I'm a sucker for spaceships and swashbuckling heroes. Starlord. What a shit title. Few good rucks but by the end I didn't give a shit about the characters or thier motivations.

this means there will now be a GoG2,3 and 4 to spite me

Sequel already filming, released around this time next year.

Kurt Russell has joined and rumours of Stallone too, I have no idea how that'll work but can't wait to see

kurt russel will blatantly be a time-travelled old starlord come back because Plot

honestly thought he'd died.

Didn't enjoy Civil War much, the conspiracy aspect was a bit meh and the film really felt squarely aimed at 13 year old boys and students.

to be fair, that in essence is what it is
I revisited Flash because I thought it was worth another go. srs 2. Why didn't you tell me michael ironside was in it and loads of people from LOT? its good, better than the weak first series starter which was as far as i got (3 eps of srs 1)

I liked Guardians but at no point did I believe the main character was anyone other than Andy from Parks and Recreation. The only other one I have succesfully got mrs maomao to sit through was Deadpool.

it has led to a 'shop joke though so thats ok. Mainly its been people replacing the speech bubble 'hail hydra' with something equally shit and annoying. My fave has been 'Its actually about ethics in games journalism'

but this is the best:

Don't look at me, I didn't write it.

But yeah it was a pretty dull film. Baddie who wants to turn everything dark because...generic bad guy reasons. Macguffin granting infinite power only in the movie to drag Natalie Portman into the plot and help set up the next Avengers movie. Loki has issues with his parents, all very moving.

TBF, it wasn't "generic bad guy reasons". Malekith wanted to destroy everything because destroying everything is the fundamental aim of all svartalfar in Scandinavian mythology. They're Elven nihilists.

I think that looks more like John Walker as US Agent rather than Steve Rogers' Captain America (urghhh sorry)

Point stands through, its a daft story line.

Thor calls him Captain though? Although I do appreciate that can just be a title that many people have.
My nerd senses were suitably tingled, so I looked it up.
Confusingly, the issue in question saw Captain America wearing US Agents costume for...reasons. So it is Cap.

or is it?...
