Burger Thread. Yes!

Can we talk about hot-dogs in this thread?

I was in one of those Premier Inn Brewers Fayre pubs at the weekend, and they had something called a "Devil Dog". It was a 12" cumberland sausage covered with mozzarella. jalapenos, and something called "Ghost Chilli" sauce. My god it was the hottest thing I've ever eaten, and pretty good value for £7. I did need two pints of Stella to cool my mouth though.

Ghost chillies are one of the hottest, if memory serves me right? Can't imagine the jalapenos doing much if ghosts were involved :D

Seriously hot, one of the hottest apparently. I was sweating a fair bit, and my lips were a very deep shade of red. I quite enjoy that kinda pain though :D

I've a friend who grows them, forever trying to palm a few off on me but I'm yet to take him up on his offer to melt my face off :D

I went to this new place in covent garden today which does a lunch deal where you get bbq hot wings, a huge proper red meat cheese burger, chips and coleslaw, AND a cocktail for a tenner! Knocks wetherspoons out the ring. Makes work v hard tho.
name pls.

Big easy, maiden lane. Nicest burger I've had in london I reckon. Slush strawberry daiquiri, mm. Wings were the weak point, reckon the bbq ones were nicer than the hot ones.

Anyway. Chemistry had the Special (he's going to try and make bacon ketchup) so I had tribute (beef, bacon, american cheese, burger sauce, french's mustard, pickles, onion and lettuce) with side of onion rings and there were also battered sausages and curry sauce (but like, proper nice).
Still entirely win. :D

And here is my own creation... The PFT Pretty F'in Tasty with BBQ Pulled Pork, homemade Big Mac sauce, American Cheese, crispy onions and gherkin slices...

hes very quiet - perhaps they came to get him in the dead of the night and have locked him up for his crimes against.... somethings.

That all sounds amazing.

Pretty good tbh. Its had salad in it and was cooked to order and I'm not dead yet.

The ran out of cheese though, so it was just a double burger.

How much did they discount the £1 price to compensate for the cheese issue.

I went to rocotillas, 50's diner in Clifton Bristol last night. Amazing 3 cheese burger and the milkshakes are mmmmm! Proper real junk food. Not cheap though but way more satisfying!

That does look pretty nice!! Might have to get myself down there, the other main burger joints in Briz (Atomic Burger - ok, need to sample more, and Ciao burger - nice range but the patties are a bit lacklustre) I've tried but I really want to go here:

Meant to be the business. I can see a trip there next week maybe

Looks fantastic Yets!! Which reminds me, I need to go for a burger next week. I'm thinking of a solo visit to a fairly posh joint. Might get a little dressed up for the occasion .

i like them 50s americana places, not just for the portion s but for all the tat and twee yanqui stuff. its like being in jack rabbit slims from pulp fiction, only minus the smacked out jon travolta

I tell you what's also ace, and also cheesy for that matter! My burger I just had, just then outside by some scaffolding. I usually go for an American cheese slice but I've gone for a slab of melted cheddar today, with caramelised red onions instead of plain red/fried white and I tell you, it was a good call. Not for every time, as there's ketchup, mayo and mustard on there as well, and it could go either way, but this one got it just right. Just the right balance of melty/sweet/tangy/beefy.

Gonna frame this one for the grandkids
