BrewDog: yet another hip company using 'rebel' language to sell its stuff

Well originally they were just ordinary tomatoes that were replaced by 'poncy' hybrids that we're easier for mass production. I grow a few heirloom farieties of veg and they taste and smell like veg used to smell when you were a kid, cauliflower being the most notable, it stinks the house out and tastes devine.

I agree with you about most veg but not tomatoes, which I despise unless they're cooked to mush and wish to see stripped of all taste and smell as far as possible.

Went to a Brewdog bar a couple of nights back. Sorry to the haters, but as a non drinker they are absolutely leading the way. Multiple AF beers available on tap so you can have a proper pint (rather than a little bottle which is usually all you can get at other places), and, best of all - free refills for the rest of the evening as part of a “dry January” promotion. Other pubs, take note.

I love tomatoes. I'm disappointed by the poorly flavoured things you get in Scotland. There's so very few varieties too.

It's really quite disturbing that so many contributors to this thread want to shut Brewdog down and consequently have millions of people die of alcohol related illnesses.

I saw this the other day and didn't notice that the refills were for alcohol free beers only.

I thought free booze during dry January was a superb bit of trolling.

If you were so puritanically authoritarian as to aspire to save "millions of people [dying from] alcohol related illnesses", surely closing down breweries would be high on your wish list?

It's not exactly authoritarian to give people a great choice of alternatives to alcoholic drinks in a pub setting. And to make those alternatives inexpensive. And still have all the alcoholic options there.

What's authoritarian is trying to get a business cancelled because it appropriated some elements from your favoured music genre. It's something you can imagine a malevolent dictator doing, that's for sure.

It's possible that it's easier for sober people to see these things clearly.

I see that logic is not your thing, then?

Well if you like AF beer perhaps, but if you don't...

This is an incorrect rule, taught by poor teachers.
Is it possible for a rule to be "incorrect"? Surely a rule is just that; it might be incorrectly interpreted, applied or understood, but the rule itself is just a rule.

In this case two sheds is entirely right to school you on the correct usage of the comparative rather than the superlative.

Poor old teuchter shown up for his lack of logic and you for your poor grasp of grammar all on the same page; the thread that keeps on giving! :D

I knew you'd make the same mistake.

The queue for the new shit bar which is about to open. They are a good fit with their neighbours; Amazon Fresh, sports Direct, and macs amongst others. Tonight, I shall be going just across the road to Sambrooks.

Hand & Heart are going in hard:

As far as I can work out, this is all about the "Hand on Heart" organisation pursuing recompense for what it sees as attacks on its reputation by Brewdog, and it's no longer attempting to take action on behalf of the ex employees - is that correct?

what would it mean for a business to be "cancelled" anyway? sounds like some meaningless buzzword bs.

Passing the Brewdog Brewery in Ellon at the end of last week was an eye-opener. It has got bigger and busier every time I've been past these last few years!

I had to meet someone in the BD in Merchant Square last week. On Wednesday evening it was jam packed and we couldn't get a seat.

They sure are popular.
