Exactly. It's ridiculous to blame this incident on "Colombian fans."

In fact, after the murder there was massive national outrage, with millions calling for the killer or killers to be brought to justice.

When the player returned home, he was out drinking in a bar and someone made a comment at his expense. He got involved in an argument because of the joke someone made about him, and chose the wrong guy to mess with. He was killed in a petty disrespect dispute therefore, rather than executed for poor performance in the World Cup. Although, if he hadn't have scored an own goal, the dispute wouldn't have happened.
