What stages are open late?

Place pretty much shuts down at 4am on Fri/Sat night, and midnight on the Sunday.

It does shut down with a thump ... we found ourselves wandering around Mayfair with not a lot to do on Sat night.

Just been reading stuff elsewhere on the net ... We clocked on Saturday morning that the little neck 'guides' had completely different times printed in them than the proper programmes, and that the programmes had all sorts of inaccurate stuff printed in them.

I didn't know that they decided to close the gates at 9pm on the Friday though, that's a bit off

And I see Boomtown are asking for info on Specialised Security and their behaviour on site ... good because I thoguht they were shit.

As an aside although I thought this year was by far the most child friendly it's ever been (i still wouldn't take children) I didn't realise there were strictly no under 16's allowed in Distrikt 5 and none allowed downtown at all after 7pm. That seems sensible.

Also had some ace cheap food on the Monday, ALWAYS knock them down last day, NEVER pay full price for anything on the Monday, nobody wants to be taking stock home with them

I did actually mention (as part of our 'isn't boomtown going mainstream' ongoing discussion) that in previous years if you put your food down for even a minute a flock of hungry punters would descend on it, all leftovers were fair game - whereas this year there was quite a lot of binned food/half eaten food laying around. Everyone clearly has a bit more money/looked healthier than in previous years.

I also didn't see a single stumbling ket head all weekend, although I gather others did.

Not so many stumbling ket heads as last year, we did see at least two people who were obviously enjoying some seriously good acid (one girl in the corner of the Gypsy Disco seemed to be having an especially good time )

We were offered ket at least once, that's almost expected, though! We were also offered DMT at one point!

The majority of the security guys were sound, but some of the Specialized lot were right roided up wankers.

Went to the first four, missed the last two.

Never liked the extreme drug taking. Hate K, not a sociable drug. I know Lak and the crew don't want it there, but it stuck early. A stage I worked on had one simple policy - anyone can do what they want; but K heads were an automatic eject.

Can't wait to go back - but with a bit of trepidation.

That's a bit of a prickish attitude tbh.... You either accept people will do drugs and that you want people who will be responsible with their drug taking..... Or you eject everyone you catch doing drugs....

People on mdma can be total dicks too, which is the other drug of choice at boomtown, when I've been running rigs I've had to repeatedly kick the same fucking pill heads out of the DJ booths/off the rig, twats coming up to you and trying to MC in your ear etc....
