Boomtown 2013 8th-11th August

Does anybody know when the deadline to pay the second half of the deposit ticket is?

I'm skinty-flinty this week!

:hmm::facepalm:

Have people brought the flying carpet doo-daa thingy tickets?

Last year I was camped on the other side of the hill, and it wasn't find to climb up those stairs after a couple of shadys.

we were going to if going as wanted to camp up the hill again and those stairs or long way round were indeed a bit of a killer

Whats the crack with camping? Where's the best place to? On top of the hill? In which case the flying carpet is probably worth it no?

unless you're young and fit! up and down twice a day limited my dancing and staying out time last year

it was nice up the hill last year but can see it being a lot busier this year
and i mean at the top of the steps hill

yeah I liked it up there cuz there was none of this "just nip back to the tent for xxx" and then spend hours sitting there. up in the morning, throw everything into a bag and off 'into town' for the day. maybe nip back in the evening before going out again that night

yeah, wasn't sure if I could- my phd funding finishes 6 weeks later. feel a bit bad taking the time off, but fuck it. I'll be working in the lab most weekends up til then so that'll cover my 4 or 5 days off easy. then wasnt sure about cash with my funding finishing etc but doing some extra 'work' outside of uni so that'll cover it. I'd paid half the ticket ages ago, so paying the next half wasnt too bad and flights were only 130 to southampton so hardly any other travel costs...

yeah, there was one last year, which I missed due to festie drama (mate arrested within about 2 hours of getting there ), had to go and get him outta the police station and back into the fest instead

I've bought a magic carpet ticket because I've got the broken toe and whilst it should be fine by then don't wanna mess my foot up for the rest of the summer.

I'm about to dive into seven festivals back to back and have no idea how I'm getting to Boomtown... will be at Camp Bestival in Lulworth on the Monday, Boomtown starts Thursday so a lift from either the south coast, Bristol or even London at a stretch would be good. Anyone able to help?

Sold out now, so I'm safe from accidentally spending any money to get in. Doesn't look like I will get in any other way either how things are going. *shrug*

If your money situation changes, some tickets will go on resale soon from the ppl who didn't pay their deposit.

If anyone's got a camper ticket going spare give me a shout, long shot I know :)

No harm in asking but looking at the boomtown forums, that request is like graf all over them. People are now resorting to ALL CAPITALS in their quest for one, desperate times.

I have learnt my lesson on CV tickets. You buy one the second the festival you may or may not be going to opens ticket sales.

I wonder how much they are worth now?

I know, I don't really give a fuck whether she gets one or not but I'm apparently "the go to festival person" amongst my friends.

I bought my camper pass ages ago

I can't justify paying £200 just to arrive through the gate so unless someone has any work there that I don't have to pay a £200 deposit up front for I won't be going.

im still waiting for my crew ticket, i said to my mate, fuck it im just going to buy one, she was like no no no, we will sort it. now its sold out

still nothing :grr:
