Boomtown 2013 8th-11th August

in the past - i would have said it tricky ....but with the new site layout for 2013 and the massive work we are putting into the family areas I would say this year will be much easier for you !!
kidz village is situated within the oldtown district so you are right in the heart of the circus, caberet, gypsy, balkan world - and not stuck out on a wim !! hope this helps
ps please note that downtown is over 12's only after 7pm

xx
Thanks - I think we just might give it a go! Have I read the site info correctly, is there family camping next to the kids village? It would make life easier if there aren't munted people crashing through the campsite at 5am. (Oh how my life has changed since the Bearcub arrived...)

Producer and The Panacea really made my weekend last year so I'm over the moon with all these, Cooh also! The Outside Agency do a fucking insane live set.

I saw cooh at last bangface, it was something else. I am a bit of a cooh fanboi in all honesty though

We take Werv to all the festivals . . except this one.

not necessarily because it's not child friendly (I'm not convinced it is though - at least not for my 4yo - too many questions to be asked about the broken people for starters - and he's been to about 20 festivals so he's used to it all) but mainly because sometimes you have more fun on your own, and actually children do constrain you.

ETA: we took him to Glade when he was a baby and that was fine, and he's experienced the dance areas etc at other festivals - but Boomtown was substantially more full on and less organised (both in terms of our crew provisions and the site provisions) and actually I think we'd have found ourselves excluded from a lot of the best elements. Also the punters really aren't expecting to deal with children.

shitloads on there!
still can't seem to justify it to myself with the price which is a shame :(
will have to see closer to time

Am looking forward to this stage :D

I'd like to go, and had a look a few weeks back but i'm not able to pay 160 quid for boomtown. It's a great festival, but that seems like real sillymoney, on par with glasto a few years back.

Take this as a desperate call out for a cheaper ticket. If anyone knows of people selling or ones going, please PM me! Thanks :)

That Lions Den venue looks fabulous for wall to wall reggae and dub ... :)

Can't make Boomtown at all sadly, but yes it would be highly tempting if I was free ...

Stupidly excited for this line-up.
Whilst the big names look great, I'm really happy to see one of my favourite producers playing out in the Hidden Woods stage, which was absolutely wonderful last year.
Big up the Boomtown crew for securing such an epic line-up.

Everytime I see an individual stage's line up I think 'oooh, I'd happily stay there all day'. This is why I don't even consider working it, it's hard enough knowing you're going to miss stuff as a punter!

why am i thinking of going on holiday instead of stumping out 160 quid for some sun/mud-soaked fun again??

line up is huge, what great work you guys have done this year :)

Should have got in there early, I got mine for 102 quid. Looking like a bargain...

Well sort of, I have since paid out another 45 quid for extras, one of which I expect to lose fingers on. But neither were compulsory.

paid off the second half of my ticket today. still not 100% sure I can go, really depends on how much uni shit I've got done by then but in the lab every evening and weekend I can until then to get enough stuff to justify a week off not too long before my funding finishes.

might have an unexpected days work coming up too, which'd pay for flights. If that happens I can't really not go...

hi, looking forward to my first boomtown. i have a question about -alcohol- if someone can pm me, want to check a couple of things

Really looking forward to this festival. I was hoping I'd be able to swing a gig for the mighty Mrs Mills, but failed to make any headway.
