I've looked on the car share things they use but punters don't arrive until Thursday and he needs to be there between 2-5pm on Wednesday.

Found a coach to Winchester which doesn't work out too bad. Are there buses that run to the site from there?

the queue for crew was minuscule compared to the punter's

shame it was quite a walk from the front of the punter's gate to the crew gate

A few of his mates are working now so one of them is driving.

Although after last weekends debacle at Kendal Calling I suspect they might not be working after all. (Three of them were thrown out for fairly standard festival behaviour).
