Shite apparently, and not just him who said it.

A mate at work said her daughter's friend was thrown out when security saw him taking a pill.

My lad was thrown out after getting searched on his way in on Thursday. When they started going through all his stuff he got a bit lippy so they drove him out of the site and left him on the country lanes and pointed him towards the train station. He walked back and sneaked back in.

On Friday the two mates he'd gone there working with were thrown out while they were tripping because they were messing about.

Saturday one of his mates was thrown out because security suspected he was dealing. He was arrested and his car searched. When they found money in the glovebox he said it wasn't his so they went back in and arrested another lad who's since been charged with possession, supply and money laundering.

Disaster from start to finish by the sounds of it. On reading up it looks like the organisers pride themselves on the numbers of people arrested.

Cheers for that; sounds awful, glad I didn't waste the time/money. I'm back to Shambala next year; if it doesn't rain, it's my favourite festival ever. (I don't care whether it rains or not tbf, I just get more ear-ache from people if it does...).

No idea how I will be getting there though as no car parking tickets left and I've now spent the parking money on a portable battery thingy.

Maybe - I have a few irons in the fire including possible van lift from Loughborough (would need to chip in a fair bit of fuel though and they are planning to arrive a day before I would be allowed on site ), possibly a car lift from High Wycombe (waiting to hear, timing should be better though) and your possible lift. Clearly I'm trying for least effort on my part and cheapest - I'm seriously considering hitching at this point cos I'm so skint.

Yes I know, sorry but that's relatively speaking a back up plan atm as Guilford is so far for me. Could well still end up doing it though, as cheaper than paying for parking etc and marginally nearer than the Matterley Bowl. Especially as I may well want to go back to London after.
