Boomtown 2013 8th-11th August

A few of his mates are working now so one of them is driving.

Although after last weekends debacle at Kendal Calling I suspect they might not be working after all. (Three of them were thrown out for fairly standard festival behaviour).

What's "fairly standard festival behaviour?"

That's about right , I was in a similar state , well less wobbly cos I was sitting , last year about 11 am outside the star port , with a few mentions of how people wanted what I was on ( mud amd possibly a bit of donkey to be specific lol ). I intend to repeat as necessary this year :D

No idea. Nowhere near the toilets! if the slopey bit I was on last year is available that was pretty good BUT it was very slopey.

also is this hill really all that? I'm trying to decide whether the travelator is worth a tenner. The train down actually works out fairly reasonably!

Well Im a fat lazy git and I managed it but its a killer lugging your stuff in the hot sun. Once youre on site its not too bad but you'll probably be deterred from meandering from where youve camped into to town repeatedly if youve camped up/over some hillage and the lay out is the same as last year...which it might not be?

Its not too bad is what Im trying to say :D

where is everyone camping? all of the districts look fun
Wait, you can camp in each area? :hmm:

Dunno, will either camp with you lot or if the layout is similar to last year go in the crew/non crew bit up the track with my mates who are working. Or wherever/whoever the Mr wants to camp near. Dunno. May not actually sleep that much and if he comes I'm not sure you want us pitched within earshot. *ahem* ;)

I really liked where you were last year, I could happily spend the entire w/e watching the ant-people walk around below (I love people watching).

I'm going to try and do it ultra light though, only taking what I need and NO MORE! I can hardly carry me atm let alone any luggages.

And I sleep about 14hrs a day currently so not hectic suits me.

Camping on the bogs weren't actually that bad except for shit pumping time. Then we all had to evacuate pretty sharpish. Not great when you've had a faceful of donkey dust :/ The worst thing about it was the almost constant munter traffic.

I'm trying to get my self around to the idea that all I need is my bit of foam, pop up tent, a sleeping bag and one small laptop rucksack size selection of clothes.

Anyway like I said the Mr is probably coming so my camping decision may be based on being out of earshot of anyone we know... :hmm: ;)

Some lass already moved rooms in his squat to get away from our noises. :D

My plan is 3 dresses, multiple leggings and a hoody.. Dress in the day, pop leggings and hoody on when it starts to get nippy. Leggings can also be slept in but it doesn't sounds like you'll be getting much sleep :D

Oh and a pair of jeans to wear on way home if coldy.

I wil blatantly bring moar than that tho!

Five pairs of socks, four bras, trackie top, trackie bottoms, two pairs leggings, legwarmers x 2, hoodie, maybe my shorts. Reckon I can get that in my small bag.

right so im volunteering and im doing programme seller, ive just seen '

I doubt you HAVE to be in fancy dress but if youre not horrified by the idea I think you should go for it. Do you know wherabouts you'll be stationed? Ill come and get me programme from you :D

Is there an urban meet up?

I'll be up in the camper field, so can't camp with anyone unless you've got a van?

Tort maybe?
