I've unexpectedly enjoying this documentary. Anyone else giving it a go?

With unparalleled and intimate access, this four-part series follows Manchester's murder detectives over the course of a year as they try to unravel complex cases in dramatic real time.

In this episode, when a burnt body is discovered in a homeless camp under railway arches close to the city centre, GMP's Major Incident Team are called to the scene and very soon a murder investigation is underway. Detective Superintendent Jon Chadwick, head of MIT, takes on the case but with no CCTV and no witnesses, the team has little to go on. As extensive forensic work is carried out at the scene, the investigation leads detectives into the world of Manchester's exploding young homelessness crisis.

Also in this episode, another case comes into MIT. A woman is the victim of a horrific petrol bomb attack in her own home. With the suspected attacker, her brother, on the run and armed with more petrol bombs, police launch a full-scale manhunt.

This is such a brilliant documentary. I don't want to spoil the story, but blimey there's some lying bastards out there!

Watched the first one and tuned out after a while. Will give it another go.

Really enjoyed the recent one about the Met which unexpectedly starred someone I was at uni with.

excellent programme. Very sad about the man with mental health problems for everyone involved :(

On a similar theme there was this excellent documentary... a hard watch and as a spoiler to highlight to anyone that can be affected by such topics it was an abusive man that killed his wife so very unpleasant topic

That Candido guy had some front.
This was the most shocking part for me. The shocking level of access and beautiful direction/photography/editing, means that you really experience what he was like in those interviews. As a result, that one episode has done more to develop my thoughts about that kind of dark psychology that anything else. It was a co-production with the OU's criminology course, but I'd be amazed if it didnt go on to international acclaim.

I just cant get my head around the level of access they had.

I watched the first two last night, it's great, some of the photography, like when they were searching in the snow, was really beautiful. Looking forward to watching the rest when the kids are in bed tonight.
