A thank you to Brexiteers.

I bet Germany are wishing they hadn't left the EU now as well...
I was waiting for that. Germany is 1.5 times bigger than the UK and the only EU country to be following a negative downturn like the UK is. It's a much smaller downturn though and is in large part due to their reliance on Russian gas, and the decisions that have had to be made to change that.

I see the lexit Hiroo Onoda brigade are out peddling the tory lines that the UK's acceleration down the economic shitter is nothing to do with Brexit! :D

I thought the true believers thought this was the price worth paying, anyway?

Then I've obviously completely mis-read the meaning of you post #14767 replying to #14766.
No. I haven’t.

#14767 merely highlights that economic contraction/growth is contingent on many factors.

Any reading of it that suggests what you wrote at #14777 as ‘the Lexit position’ is delusional.

That's your level of debate though. Just like with the Tories Brexit fantasy, you have your own, and not even the facts will change it

You haven't engaged in anything resembling debate, you've posted a story about the UK's declining economy without any comment on a thread about Brexit.

If you actually have anything substantive to say about either the story or indeed about Brexit then go ahead and say it.

hmm have we found any benefits of brexit apart from Lexiters warm fuzzy tum tum feelings yet

i've not been keeping up lately

:hmm:

Not yet. But like Saddam Hussein's WMDs, they're very well hidden, buried deep somewhere. And just like Saddam's weapons, they really do exist, and will eventually be found in their hundreds and leave a lot of people with eggs on their faces.

I see the logic, penetrating analysis and persuasiveness of Planet Remain’s argument remains as piss poor as it’s been since 2016.

7 years since 2016 and all the proposed benefits have fallen by the wayside and north ireland is still a non functioning political mess

and still people go on about Planet remain

tbf remain side said it was a bad idea and nothing from the Leave side or resulting from the uk leaving has change that idea

without europe itself falling apart is their any postive outlook

You either accept that Brexit has accelerated the UK's economic decline or you don't; I'm just confused about what view you take on that and, if so, whether that it is a price worth paying for the benefits that you perceive.
