I´m sure some tired atavist will draw "humorous" comparisons with "the" war when they read this.
Like higher wages for our own Britrish German punk bands.I´m sure some tired atavist will draw "humorous" comparisons with "the" war when they read this.
UK to be one of worst performing economies this year, predicts IMF
It is predicted to be the worst performing out of the G20 nations in 2023, including Russia.www.bbc.co.uk
I bet Germany are wishing they hadn't left the EU now as well...
The Chinese state broadcaster?Unsurprisingly, the state broadcaster's piece appears to avoid any mention whatsoever of the B word.
I was waiting for that. Germany is 1.5 times bigger than the UK and the only EU country to be following a negative downturn like the UK is. It's a much smaller downturn though and is in large part due to their reliance on Russian gas, and the decisions that have had to be made to change that.I bet Germany are wishing they hadn't left the EU now as well...

That's your level of debate though. Just like with the Tories Brexit fantasy, you have your own, and not even the facts will change it
I see the lexit Hiroo Onoda brigade are out peddling the tory lines that the UK's acceleration down the economic shitter is nothing to do with Brexit!
I thought the true believers thought this was the price worth paying, anyway?
Insert inevitable John Maynard Keynes long run quote here.just not thinking long term enough brexit will a success in 2055
Who has said that?I see the lexit Hiroo Onoda brigade are out peddling the tory lines that the UK's acceleration down the economic shitter is nothing to do with Brexit!

So, as a Brexit supporter, you think Brexit has accelerated the UK economy down the shitter and that's not a price worth paying?Who has said that?

Complete cop-out.I haven’t said anything. You’re the one making sweeping claims about the position of Lexit supporters.
Complete cop-out.
Then I've obviously completely mis-read the meaning of you post #14767 replying to #14766.Cop out of what? Not answering your invented claims about the position of Lexit supporters? Bizarre.
This pretty eloquent i think of lexit supporters' view now.

Not yet. But like Saddam Hussein's WMDs, they're very well hidden, buried deep somewhere. And just like Saddam's weapons, they really do exist, and will eventually be found in their hundreds and leave a lot of people with eggs on their faces.hmm have we found any benefits of brexit apart from Lexiters warm fuzzy tum tum feelings yet
i've not been keeping up lately

You either accept that Brexit has accelerated the UK's economic decline or you don't; I'm just confused about what view you take on that and, if so, whether that it is a price worth paying for the benefits that you perceive.No. I haven’t.
#14767 merely highlights that economic contraction/growth is contingent on many factors.
Any reading of it that suggests what you wrote at #14777 as ‘the Lexit position’ is delusional.
