Speakers had been playing up, distorting and crackling after about 10 minutes of playing a signal through them. Got them repaired through a mate, but they still appear to have the same problem. Luckily the event has a back up, but I feel absolutely mortified!

Interesting.
I remember the Custard Factory from the 90s, went to some good music things in a space that was on the ground floor level including one that John Peel compared.
I used to know someone who had a sudio on one of the upper floors so I was able to have a look round there too.

I can imagine it's quite different now, especially with all the developments in Digbeth not surprised though, it's happening everywhere.

Good to read that Friends of the Earth in Allison Street are still hanging on at the moment!
