Your daily cat and kitten news

The little cunt has just broken my headphones. He sits on my desk next to me, and sometimes reaches out to play with the wire connecting them to the laptop. Somehow his claw has got into the in-line volume control and completely fucked up the balance.

They weren't expensive, but I'm pissed off I'll have to buy a new pair.

Haven't posted on here in ages, but needed to come back, as it's increasingly looking like we might be nearing the end for Milo.

He's been suffering from diabetes, chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis for a while now, and is currently on a cocktail of four different medications, plus insulin, plus a special diet, and sadly it's all getting a bit too much for him. He stopped eating a few days ago, and was at the vets getting fluids yesterday. The vet doesn't think the prognosis is great, so we're having to get used to the idea of not having him around for much longer. My heart is breaking for him, and the thought of not having his weird little presence around the house doesn't compute.

He'll be back at the vets today for more scans etc. so just keeping everything crossed.

That's a really hard place to be, sorry to hear it. What ever happens, you're clearly going to be making your choices from a place of love, don't forget that.

He's at the vets having scans all day today. He's lost a kilo over the last five weeks (6kg down to 5kg) and they're worried something else might be going on to cause that, which really would be the shitty icing on the turd of a cake that are his existing conditions!

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, hoping against hope that there's something simple that will improve things for him, but we'll see later once we pick him up.

Apparently the scans are showing a mass near his liver and spleen. It's probably going to be expensive, but we've asked them to open him up and try to remove as much as possible.

Going to be glued to my phone all afternoon waiting for news now :(

Good luck to Milo for the surgery - it's horrible sitting around waiting to hear, I hope all goes well.

Fingers crossed for a good result. I’d sell a kidney for our boys.
