Your daily cat and kitten news

Bloody hell Epona you are going through it, I really feel for you.

Obviously you want to care for him as much as you can, but yeah, bit wearing eh?

Hugs to you - and Jakey!
Thank you!
Yeah it is exhausting, not the first time I've been a carer for an unwell or post-operative mog though, and probably won't be the last.
(Did result in me getting shingles due to the stress when I was tube feeding Radar that time though! Hopefully nothing that drastic this time, and Jakey gets a diagnosis of something that can be fixed next week. But basically between me and N being ill and then Jakey being ill, May and some apparently glorious weather outside is in the toilet).

Vet phoned this morning, cultures done - it's a bacterial infection, 2 weeks of penicillin should kick it in the proverbials.
Just trying to work out how to time all the pills he's on (now 5 various doses a day, half his diet is going to consist of pill putty at this rate!)

So fingers crossed this sorts him out without affecting his kidneys too badly, and we can get back to normal soon.

Good news - glad to hear Jakey is doing better

Oh god I shouldn't have looked it up.
Vet charged me £50 for 30x 50g Synulox pills.
Pet Drugs Online charge £10.20 for the same thing.

Unfortunately it's one of those things where you really don't want to wait a few days for delivery to start the course, so they've got you over a barrel.

There ought to be more regulation of what vets are allowed to charge.

One hell of a chunky tail! 😳

So Harvey over the road isn't content with robbing every house on the block for food, he's now trying to take down every bird he can. Is current servants have fitted him with this, in a vain effort to give the birds a chance

I think it works by when it's spotted by other cats, the howling of laughter scares the birds away.
He looks like he's grudgingly being dragged on a Pride march.
